Trying to fix my boyfriend's Vtuvia sk20. On his way to work it rained. Bike stopped working later that day. I didn't know the first thing about ebikes until I started working on his. First it said error 09, I fixed that. Then it says error 05, I fixed that. Now it's saying error 07. I haven't the slightest idea where to start troubleshooting.

It got wet. That is bad news and should have been dried out quickly with no battery attached. Just like drying out a phone that fell in water. I looked up the bike and the front fender is so high that it doesn't stop a fire hose of water soaking the crank area where the controller would be. The 07 is listed as an overvoltage error. The controller figures that out and since its wrong, it's an indication that water is attacking the controller brains. You have to remove the battery immediately and open up the controller area to pull the controller out. I doubt there are any gaskets on the bike keeping water out. Then the controller inside a heatsink box has to be opened up and inspected for water. Feel around with a fresh kleenex all over the board and the insides to check for water. Then use a hair dryer on high for a half hour to dry the whole silver box out. Then let it set for an hour to cool off and further dry out. Even better to leave it all open overnight to really get dry. Then reassemble and hope for the best.
