Wiring hub controller and battery

I'm trying to connect the hub motor to the battery on the controller but I'm not able to do it 36v

I’m also having trouble with this same situation it’s been over 3 months that I’m sitting on this new battery I purchased to upgrade my daughters Jetson bolt pro if anyone can plz give me advice and help I would highly appreciate it!!

thanks for the feedback now here’s where my problem starts I upgraded to a battery that has 10 ah instead of 6 ah like the original battery that comes with the bike,the new battery has 14 awg wires with xt60 male connector the brushless controller has 16 awg also with xt60 connector.I also purchased a xt60 female to female extension can I just plug them in straight thru without any problem that’s where I got stuck n haven’t been able to find anyone with a answer everyone I asked has something different to say!!!

The female to female extension is a 12awg wire that’s not a problem is it since battery wires are 14 awg and controller 16 awg there’s a whole lot of different size awg wires going on I just don’t want anything harmful to happen to my daughter although I did order some xt60 female connectors that way I can just add one to the extra pigtail i got with the new battery since that wire is also 14 awg!now why the controller and battery has both male xt60 plugs idk I bought the battery and they had the wrong connectors on as to the original battery from Jetson has the correct plugs
