Does anyone know what happened to the cyc photon post on ES. i removed myself from the forum due to the circling buzzards, but was very interested in the photon and was following the post. It seems to have just stopped.

I've been wondering too. The mid-drive forums appear to have quieted down, and the Photon delivery time is still out months. There's a few Photon motor builds on Electrify Bike's gallery page, but there's no related sort/search/filter utilities and no way to contact the builders.
I've got another motor on order, July timeframe, for a lightish weight, narrowish & highish pressure 27.5 tire street bike build. The other parts are also trickling in - so, whenever. -

I'm fairly new to the ebike scene (2 yrs or so) and seeking other options. i have builds with BBS02, BBSHD and a CYC X1 Stealth and enjoy both very much for their respective type of riding. CYC in the woods and BBSs on the roads. Can't beat the quietness of BBSs but really like the torque sensing of the CYC.
just ordered some spare parts, bottom bracket, chainring and 219 chain, 11 tooth drive sprocket. the order was shipped out about 10 days later. not bad.
i'll keep my eyes out for more posts as I am interested in this motor

Thanks Rodney Bush - I've also had speedy delivery from CYC direct for some piece parts, which is a good sign, and am very happy so far with the Photon motor's behavior and performance. No so much with the two "compatible" displays, but I'm getting by.
