Can the Trangle 52V Panasonic GA 18650 28AH Battery fit in the FUSION 500 FAT EBIKE frame? If so what frame size will it fit in the 17" or the 19"?

Nope to both. It's too big and fits awkwardly. The best you can do in these situations is a Wolf Pack or Shark Pack unless you have a pack that's perfectly molded to the frame dimensions

Hi, this is my second build and I think these gauges are the best! but I am experiencing lack of proper information. As an example when riding it shows the amps hour being used but when coasting it should only show the Ah consumed (used) instead shows 3W. when first connected also showed the graphics of the full battery but for some reason it is empty. Any advise please?

hello anyone know the wiring diagram for the cyclone 3000 watt kit, need to install a LCD K3 but can't figure out where the data cables go, thanks in advance

I don't think the K3 LCD is compatible with the Cyclone kits? You'd need something more generic like a Batt-Man or a Watt-meter.

      Hello Everybody at Luna,

Problem: 52v mini charger flashes and clicks RED and Green LEDs when plugged into Mighty Mini 52v battery??

The Battery shows 34.4 volts with a volt meter. The Charger shows 58.8 volts.

About a year ago I bought a kit, Order # 33201. Details below. It took me about 3 months to get around to installing the kit and it has worked great!
Yesterday I went to charge my Mighty Mini Square 52v 30q Battery with my 52v Mini 3amp Charger and the RED and GREEN lights start flashing??
The little fan on the unit looks like it wants to spin but I think the unit is turning itself on and off. What do you think the problem is?? Battery?
I don't have another battery for the bike so I can't test the charger. I bought the kit in July of last year and like I said, it took a few months before I was
able to install the kit and start using it.

      Rod Cambridge (kit details below

and I searched for (battery problem) and (battery won't charge) and got nothing from the FAQ page.

The 52 volt mini charger has a known issue with charging discharged batteries. E-mail Luna support and they will set you up with an external connector that will correct this.

Yup, what tommy said, Otherwise check to see if you've already received the adaptor because we were including them with all Mini's for awhile there. Otherwise email support and the adaptor will resolve the issue immediately.

can you recommend a chain guide that will work with the eclipse 42t?

You don't really need a chainguide since the teeth are so long on the chainring. I don't think I've ever had a chain fallen off with either the Mighty Mini or the Eclipse. Even with like the poorest chainline you can imagine.

I purchased a BBSHD kit with the 52v Panasonic GA 17.5ah Jumbo Shark battery pack about a year and a half ago from you guys. All has been great for the most part. Just yesterday though I was riding along and all of a sudden (right in the middle of a busy intersection no less) the power cut out. I still had 50+ volts under load so I know it was not the battery hitting it's cut-off point. I tried to turn the system on again, but to no avail. When I got home I tested the leads coming from the battery tray with my multimeter. Nothing. Then I removed the battery and tested the leads directly from battery and it showed 51.7 volts. Something must be going on with the tray. Any ideas before I tear into it?

I think its common knowledge that using a Gearsensor with the brake lever lead gives a longer duration interrupt than when using the dedicated Gearsensor lead. But I'm wondering...

How is the duration of interrupt determined by the Gearsensor? In other words, do different model Gearsensors (GSD, GSI, GS etc.) have different durations? Or is the duration controlled solely by the Bafang motor controller that they are connected to?

Are these different durations documented anywhere?

The cut is programmed in the firmware not on the sensor.
Long cut for ebrakes, short for gearsensor plug

BBS02 500w 52v started sputtering today in both PAS mode and throttle only, has anyone else experienced this and what caused it.

Yeah that's about the only time I've experienced sputtering, but it's usually followed by a shut-off shortly after. Did it shut off on you after riding?

My sputtering soon results in tripping the circuit breaker in the BMS if I don’t reduce current draw.

The sputtering is telling me to either use less current, go on shorter rides, or buy a larger capacity battery.

I have a new kit installed and get error 21. The red LED does flash when the magnet passes. But, no speed is registered in the display. The bike runs fine for a min or 2. Then error 21 displays. Is there a way to disable error 21, and run without the speed sensor?

Did you manually swipe the magnet against the sensor with your hand and then check to see if the speed reading shows?

You can disable it and run without it by going into your display settings and turning off "Auto-Shut-Off". It'll just display the error and no speed reading but it won't shut off on you after 5mins.

Hi + thx for the reply. I have swiped it manually past the magnet. The red LED does flash on and off with each swipe. However, the display is not registering any speed. I have changed the autoshutoff to disabled. But, the motor stops delivering power once the error 21 pops up on the display.

Email support@lunacycle.com with your order # and we'll get you a replacement sensor.

I have a Luna BBSHD with 750c display.and a programming cable. Im trying to do some testing while waiting for a 52v battery by temporary installing a 36v 6AH. It will turn the motor freestyle but not with me on it. The LVP range is 38-43v. is there a way to drop this to 32v for testing? Curt

Nope, the motor is technically only capable of 48v-52v batteries. 36v will not be compatible.

I understand that non of luna's triangle batteries fit in the Fusion 500 Fat Ebike frame. I am a hunter and want a very long range battery for the bike. I can get a battery from another third party but was wondering how big of a triangle can fit in the Fusion 500 Fat Ebike frame? both the 17" and 19" frames. Thank you!

The dimensions would have to be custom and based around the frame design. It also has to be properly cased so that it doesn't bang into the frame and damage the cells when you ride.

We have so many different bikes being constantly released, This is not really information we can provide at this time unfortunately. There's clearance gaps you have to consider and various other complications. It's a lot of work and time taken out of the shops day to do these measurements and we're already quite slammed. These kind of details have to be hammered out after you've already purchased the bike unfortunately.

Alright I understand, I would just be nice to know before hand that I can get one that will fit. Because the battery on it right now is pretty small and when hunting in the back country it wont get very far, especially carrying all the gear and an animal out if I were to get one. Would you have any other suggestions on how I might get a longer battery life if I cant get a triangle battery to fit? Maybe get a battery that goes on the rack? or just carry an extra shark pack or something? Thanks for the help!

Carrying extra sharks is usually the least complicated way that doesn't involve a lot of DIY. You can also have the option of a Shark/Wolf in your frame and then a Shark/Wolf on a rear rack running both in parallel.

It's getting harder and harder to fit normal packs on to full suspensions bikes with small triangles and with the new small mini cubes that Luna offers are a

Hi, I'm a new Sur Ron owner and my chain just popped. I lost my master link. I must not have fully reengaged the clip when I was trying to get my peddle kit on. The chain is fine but I lost the whole master link. I know it's a 420 106 chain but I'm not sure how to buy the replacement. Is that all I need to look for? Any 420 106 master link? I need help ASAP. I have to order a new one and get back on the road.

        Thanks

Hi looking at buying a BBSHD for a bike with a 73MM ENGLISH threaded BB,

the 68-73MM BBSHD seems to be sold out at most reputable retailers...Has anyone installed the 73mm-100MM sized motor into a 73MM BB

(I have also seen this size motor listed as 74mm-100 but mainly 73MM-100 whihc makes me wonder how wide it really is)

I have searched the forums and have not found anyone trying this...which does not bode well for my situation, but also does not surprise me.

Any experience or knowledge would be great...I have also reached out to Lunacycles support, and no one has gotten back to me

          Cheers

Don't. Just don't. We get people who do this all the time and it's better to just wait for the 68mm kit to be re-stocked, otherwise you might end up with some janky frankenstien looking bike that's offcenter, with an awful chainline and like 20mm of spacers. For 73mm, stick with the 68mm-73mm size if you want a clean look and easy install.
        Working...
