Is it possible to reset a Wolf Pack 50 A BMS via bluetooth? Is there an app for this or will I need to download software for my computer?

Hi, looks like my question got skipped. Did I post in the wrong place? From Luna website, says click here if I'm looking for a quick answer. I am. I'd like to get my Sur Ron back on the road for work and I'd just like to be sure I'm buying the correct master link for the 420 chain. Is there a particular width I need to buy?

Hi, I'm super stoked about my first build - BBS02 with a 48v 17ah shark pack. Been on it for about 40 miles (after charging to 100% per the threads on battery care). The whole thing is cutting out at random. I notice the shutting down happens the most in 3 or 4 PAS and headed up a hill (even if I shift). I also noticed during one ride, jittery feelings from the motor. It also appears my ON/OFF switch on the battery is a dummy switch, as I can turn the screen on regardless of battery switch position and off i go, until it shuts off. Any Ideas?

Run it on a table and see if the disconnects still happen. If not, check the connectors on the underside of the pack like in this guide:

The switches are usually a failure point and a placebo effect, so they've been disconnected. The BMS handles all of that stuff already.

Excellent. Thanks HIGHVOLTAGE. I'll run it tonight and my contacts on the crdle visually look pretty "wide" although its a brand new pack, i'll bend the tabs in a bit to add more normal force. Will follow up tomorrow.
Am I ok to run this battery down to about 20% thinking I can get one more day of testing on this charge.
-
Eh up to you, 20% is pretty low and will put a bit of strain on the cells but shouldn't be a huge deal for a new battery.
-
Hi HIGH VOTLAGE, I tightened the dock contacts for more normal force. The issue remains. This morning, no bumps, PAS level 1, no hill, I got a shut off about 2 minutes into ride. Battery is still 75%. Turn back on, PAS 2, no bump, no hill - shut off. Turn back on, got to coffee shop a mile away, but had some jitter from motor.

It didn't shut off on the table? Yeah test it again on the table and make sure and then adjust the contacts again if it doesn't shut off. Are you adjusting them wider or shorter? They need to be closer together to make better contact with the cradle pins.
I have reason to believe your battery connectors are not making good contact with the cradle. We've seen it before. Even if they're brand new, or they look good. Just a few mm's off in adjustment and the voltage won't be able to jump over and make contact with the pin, causing a disconnect of the unit. The fact that it doesn't shut off on your table top indicates that this is probably the case.
Or you have a external loose connection somewhere else possibly. But you probably have already checked for this so I think it's the cradle.
EDIT: I've been getting other emails about this too for this same pack and one of the guys says he solved it by adjusting the contacts like I asked. So I'm pretty 100% confident this is the solution.Last edited by HIGHVOLTAGE; 08-14-2018, 02:39 PM.

Ok. Tested for a while longer on the bench. Can't get the shut off - I agree it must be some loose connection. I have a voltage reading of 46.6 V from my multimeter. I adjusted my cradle sockets on the battery side, as they looked completely wide open (in fact it was hard to get a screw drive behind them to bend them 'in' towards the pins on the cradle) - I will go even further with them i guess?
I did have a stupid moment tonight though - I didn't notice my red wire on my multimeter was plugged into the DC10A UNFUSED port the first time I went to test. Yup. I melted my probe, and partially the connector on the cradle. Can I order a new on of these? Once I swapped the red probe to the correct port on the multimeter, I got a solid 46.6v reading. Can I replace with these? https://lunacycle.com/batteries/conn...with-pigtails/Last edited by madisonhamman; 08-15-2018, 06:36 AM.

Replacing with XT90's would be the best for reliability. 46v is a pretty low battery by the way. That's like at nearly 20% capacity.

Hello, world. We have a Santana tandem circa 2003 - not unlike this image: http://www.mile43.com/cycling/images...a/santana1.jpg
Considering a BAFANG BBSHD Mid-Drive kit. Would it go on the front bottom bracket or the rear? Have these been installed in tandem's before?
We are around 350 lbs combined weight.

Two part Sondors Thin question. I've already upgraded the screen, motor controller, battery (LT48), chargers, freewheel, chain, crankset and I'm current in process on brakes, tires, and bottom bracket (as mine is making some noise. All fine on those a parts...
1. Does anyone make a 52v battery that will fit in the thins box?
2. Does anyone make an upgraded motor replacement/better wheel options?
Thank you!
Chad

Sorry, we don't have much information on Sondors Thin upgrades right now. I think you can get a BBSHD to fit on the Original Sondors Fat Bike though, not sure about the Thin model. We don't have much experience with that unfortunately at the moment.Last edited by HIGHVOLTAGE; 08-14-2018, 02:35 PM.

What spacing and hole count is the Rohloff Speedhub 500/14 Fatbike Hub you have listed for sale?
I need 190mm and a rim and spoke recommendation too.Last edited by geckocycles; 08-15-2018, 10:06 AM.

Adding a new comment here, as my previous thread has changed directions a bit.
I think my basic display is not showing accurate voltage. Shows full bars on display, and 3/4 LEDS on side of shark pack even though im getting a 46.6v read with multimeter. Is the display bad?

Did you adjust the connectors? It's definitely the case connectors considering it won't shut off on the table. That's like a dead give-away. It's like one of the most common issues with these packs. But you were also on low battery, so make sure it wasn't a combination of both?
-
I did adjust the contacts, but they are still very wide open - im going to bring them in quite a bit and recharge the battery once I get the new connector in. Any option to get a better read on battery other than upgrading my screen? Would upgrading my display give me a good voltage reading?
-
Yes, upgrading to the color displays such as the DPC-18 or 750c will give you an accurate voltage reading at all times.
