I have a Samsung 18650 pack made with 80 cells, total voltage nominal 57.6volts. I am new to ebike, but very accomplished diy'er. Which mid drive kit should I get?Last edited by floydturbo; 09-13-2018, 09:44 AM.

Err, is that the nominal voltage or it's max charged voltage? Or literally it's nominal? Because that could either be a 52v or a 60v battery. Only 48v - 52v batteries are compatible with BBSHD's and BBS02's. Cyclones can handle higher voltages but are not recommended if this is your first build.Last edited by HIGHVOLTAGE; 09-13-2018, 12:30 PM.

Question! Is the 73mm-100mm BBSHD kit actually the 100mm shaft model? I've got a BB92 on my new frame and I'll need these spacers https://www.empoweredcycles.com/coll...ptor-for-bbshd which specifically mention the 100mm shaft in order to have enough threads left over for the nuts. Thanks!

I've got 2 Luna shark batteries that were recently purchased. They both are not taking a charge. I've tried jumping the batteries and it doesn't make a difference It will take a charge for a bit through the metal connectors on the belly I've opened them up and tested the charge going into the little yellow connector inside the battery. It is full charge - 58 volts. Possibly BMS issues? If so, what can I test next?

Check continuity on the adaptors you're using in between the charger & battery. They're usually a common failure point and might be the reason it's not taking a charge.
One of the best things about this method is you can check the circuit without needing to pull the wiring apart for a visual inspection.Courtesy of Luna suppo...
Also, are you using the same charger on both?Last edited by HIGHVOLTAGE; 09-13-2018, 03:57 PM.

Sounds like you need to email support so we can have our lead technician Seb take a look at the case.

Hello, I purchased a 52v mini luna charger and was reading through the manual included.
There's a section in the back that states:
"If you need to connect your own connector make sure the blue cable goes to positive of your connector, and the brown wire goes to negative."
But if i'm not mistaken, looking at the xt-60 plug on the charger and in the pictures on your website, the Blue wire is actually the negative wire and the brown wire is the positive wire? Or am I missing something?

You'll wanna keep re-stock requests to this thread here if you can. This thread is mainly for technical troubleshooting.

Hi Patrick, it's currently in production but probably a while before we have it restocked. Maybe a few weeks, though it could be more or less. We could notify you once restocked if you like, just put your email into the box on the notifier within the listing https://lunacycle.com/luna-black-box...02-programmer/

Hello, I am currently working on a project for school. I was wondering if you guys made a left hand drive freewheel crank. So that it may be used in addition to your regular freewheel crank. If not, may you be able to point me in the right direction?
thank you very much. Have a wonderful day.

Hello,
I received a Sur-Ron MX in the mail today and assembled the bike without issue. However, when I take it for a ride I find that I'm limited to a mere 12 km/h top speed. Flipping between sport and EP power modes has no effect on the bike. I've removed the battery, checked the connectors, and then carefully reattached all the cables, but despite this I can't go faster than 12 km/h.
Does anyone know why my bike is speed limited?

Just purchased a 52V wolf pack and the mini charger.
While charging the fan on the mini charger is not on, and the case is hot to the touch. An infrared thermometer is reading 120-130F on the case of the charger.
Is this normal? Should I be worried?

Nope, not normal. Unplug it now before it gets too hot and email support@lunacycle.com with pictures of the charger and the order # for it.

Hey Luna!
so I recently gotta charger with my kit (mini 52v charger) it no longer works, been speaking with Seb (awesome dude) getting it replaced w/upgrade to the advanced 300w. just waiting on code so I can order :( so my question is, I ordered another 52v charger so it can arrive sooner, it comes with a 2.1 jack, does it matter how thick the wire gauge is for the 2.1 jack on a 52v charger? Gonna swap the 2.1 to xt60.

I just found out the bottom bracket for my bike is 120mm (Extra fat) and I ordered the fat variant. Is there any easy way to deal with this like just swapping out the adapter or will I have to ship the entire unit back? Please let me know. I also need a 41 - 42mm X 120mm press fit adapter because my bottom bracket isn't threaded, is this something you can supply.

You'll unfortunately have to ship it back as there are no adaptors currently. Email support@lunacycle.com with pictures of the units condition and an order #
Also, unfortunately at this time we don't make custom adaptors. Is it a PF41 BB though? Because we already make an adaptor for that here if you didn't know:

It wont be delivered till Wednesday. As for the adapter, yes that seems to be right . My bottom bracket is 41mm in diameter X 120mm long, so one of those adapters should work so I can thread in the bbshd.

I have a bike with a “gxp” bottom bracket. That’s what I know for sure. But is it pf30, pf41? BB30? How will I know if the BBS02 or BBHD will fit? I searched so much and can not find info on it. Please explain.

Try contacting the original manufacture of the bike or ask a local bike shop. The GXP looks threaded but there's no info on it's diameter.
Truvativ products deliver an unwavering focus on dependability & style that can never be overlooked. Series: Descendant, Stylo, Noir, Holzfeller, Hussefelt
We usually don't make confirmations on this stuff due to the number of different bike designs but generally speaking I think you might be good with this one. If you already have the bike, probably best to measure it's BB diameter to make sure The inside diameter of your shell should be 33.8mm +/- .2mm. So, check it. Twice.

I had built a battery for an electric wheel using 18650’s. That battery was put together and wasn’t having any issues. I was almost finished plugging in the bms to the (esc/control modual) until I put in the final wire and it arched really bad and blew both ends of the quick release style connectors. Any idea what could have happened? Could the kit have been on and since the battery didn’t have an off switch it emediently tried giving power or could it by wired wrong? Any information would be great. Thank you. Also. The bms has became very hot to the touch after the incededint
