    No. Different bolt pattern.
Spacers go behind the chain rings to push them outward if they rub against the bicycle frame chain stay. Spacers are 2mm thick. The bolt patterns on the BBS02 and BBSHD motors are different so order accordingly. If using more than 1 spacer it is recommended to use longer socket head cap screws.

I have a Cannondale H-400 hybrid bike that I had converted to the e-rad system, with a 750 watt BBSO2 motor and the 11.4 ah battery. I would like to do the following upgrades.

      1. Go to the BBSHD 1000 watt motor, $679.00
      2. Go to the Panasonic 52 v, 17.5 ah motor. $635.00

How long will these items be on sale? Can you do the installation? If not, can you give me the name of a reputable installer near the Long Beach area?

      Thank you for your time.

        Hi.

I'm in Culver City, and I REALLY need your Luna Charger 36v Advanced 300w Ebike Charger asap. (Leaving for a trip Wednesday...).

First, do you have them in stock, and second, is there ANY WAY that I could have one picked up or delivered locally before Wednesday morning?!

        THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Later in the day is preferable for the pickup, 4-5pm.

patrick hotra if you already have a BBS 02 system and you want to upgrade it to BBSHD you don't need the entire kit you just need the BBSHD bare motor
BBSHD motor and drive unit for an amazing price of $500 for users wanting to upgrade from bbs02 or bbs01 or e-RAD and already have all the necessary external hardware.

I don't expect the pricing to go up anytime soon however availability fluctuates quite a bit, especially with batteries so if you need a particular battery and it is in stock you might not want to wait too long.

          Hi,

I am planning on my next build with the Anniversary sale motor.
I wondering would you recommend an 3 speed or 8 speed internal hub? And which model would you suggest I go with?

I'm considering doing another Chopper type build. So the chain will be LONG and I don't want to mess with traditional gear shifters. Any input would be appreciated. You guys are awesome!

Ron's article here is quite a read, since reading it I want to try installing a three speed on a build. Also REALLY want to do a Gates Belt Drive bike, those two are on my hit list.

            Added: link to article:

The popular Bafang BBS02 and BBSHD mid drives are introducing an entirely new generation to electric bikes. Many of these new ebikers are asking about the option of using an Internally Geared Hub (…

Does the Luna One 36 tooth chainring have as much offset as the Eclipse? The description is a little contradicting.
This is a brand new design for us which utilizes a lot of offset like our Eclipse Chain Ring but accomplish it with a more affordable one piece design.

This chain ring unlike our standard Eclipse chainring only has a very mild offset so it does not do much to correct the chain line of the BBSHD.

          Comment

It does not have as much offset as the eclipse, 42t is the lowest you can go on the chainring and still have it wrap around the secondary reduction housing. No chainring that is smaller than that will have anywhere near that much offset. This now chainring has about as much offset as the mighty mini. So you might need to rework the cassette as explained here https://electricbike.com/forum/forum...-drive-systems

Thanks for the reply. I will stick with the 42t as it provides me with an exceptional chain line.

26" x 4" fatty running BBSHD with 42T front chain ring I have yet to find hills too steep tugging a rear 32T cog. Pulls my 230lbs about 8-10MPH using 1000W battery power continuous.

Hi there, I am interested in the triangle 60v 20ah battery you guys just listed since i am looking to pair it with the Cyclone 3kw motor. In the bottom there is a note that says "The 60 V charger that comes with this by default is a standard charger not the advanced." . My question is does the battery come standard with a standard charger or must I buy the 450w 5amp charger under the optional smart charger? Thank you guys in advance for answering my question.

I don't believe there's any "standard charger" supplied with pack. 60V 450W charger is unique and obviously delivers more power than the 300W Luna Advanced charger offered in 36-48-52V. Discounted by $20 buying it with the pack.

I would also post the question at https://lunacycle.com/batteries/pack...onic-pf-or-ga/.

From the description, I would also assume it comes with a basic 60V charger.

"The 60 V charger that comes with this by default is a standard charger not the advanced."

I didn't see this earlier but I don't believe it's saying a basic charger is "supplied" with the pack but that the only choice by default is a standard charger.

In other words, no Volt/Amp meter or selectable % or charge rate like Luna Advanced chargers.

A little more clarification would be nice...

Hi. Just purchased my first ebike kit. The bbs02 anniversary sale - and upgraded the battery to the 52 volt shark pack but I failed to upgrade the charger from the basic 3 amp 48 v unit. Do I need to upgrade? Should I upgrade? If so which charger d I need? Thanks!

            Comment

For the sale listing the shipping department will make sure to include a matching charger in the corresponding voltage. It will be basic if you did not use the upgrade option but it won't be 48v if the pack on the order is 52v.

Upgrading is nice but it's not necessarily required.

Hi, recently bought a BBSHD, great power!! But i have a question: Always i'm disconnecting battery from the rest of system to charge it... Can I charge it directly without unplug red and black wires? Any problem?

Thanks a lot, gonna buy another kit from Luna Cycles soon ;)

                  Yes you can do that.

What size power inverter do I need to use in my car so that i can use the standard whale charger or the 300 watt 52 volt charger

I want to get one too, looking at getting a good quality Pure Sine Wave inverter.

Depends on the amperage of the standard charger if you want to use that. If you want to use the 300 W charger you need a 300 W inverter. Likely you would want to dial it back if you are using the Luna charger version that allows you to control current, because depending on the car you might blow a fuse if you are pulling something like 30 A from the 12 V socket.

Hello, regarding the eclipse chain ring spiders, have any of them been made for the bbso2? Even considering a small run? Would love to hear about it if so.
