First I am retired on the Wa coast and would like to covert my fat tire bike to 2WD with a total of 1500 to 2000 watts and 20AH I do not need regen, PAS or gears on rear. Could you advice a kit or list of parts for me with a wire diagram. I want to keep this simple and to the point. I have a nice 1000 watt road bike but in the sand it is just not a ride. front plows and you end up walking.

    Thank you,
    Keith

Distributors and builders of high power electric bikes and trail bikes plus parts

we have several that fit those specifications depending on the build options on the listing. Really depends on whether you want a geared hubmotor or not, and whether you want front or rear, etc. the Bafang geared fat hubs on that page would be pretty well suited to what you want. Everything is plug and play except for the battery, we don't really have a wiring diagram for that it's just a couple wires that need wired to the positive and negative on whatever battery you choose. Or ideally some sort of connector instead of being hardwired together

    Hi,
I bought a BBSHD controller from Luna so that I could have throttle override, but PAS is overriding throttle.

On the webpage, it says, "If you want your firmware to allow you to apply as much throttle as you want regardless of your pedal speed, this controller is good insurance your set up will be able to deal with whatever power you dish out."
    https://lunacycle.com/bafang-bbshd-1...ProductReviews

I don't think the controller I received has the right firmware on it. It looks like It's been cut out of an assembled bbshd, because it still has white silicon on the connectors. And you can see that the paint has been scratched where the bolts were fastened.

Ben and I are working a feature we like about the Lunas we bought vs. a generic. We have a thread: https://electricbike.com/forum/forum...e-and-pedaling

I am in the process of starting my DIY project to install a BaFang 1000 on my ICE Adventure trike and am trying to determine what extension cables I am going to need is there a list of cable lengths for the stock unit and the cables it comes with? I also plan to install a gear sensor and magnetic brake cables to use my own brake levers. Thanks.

Any project requiring nonstandard lengths necessarily will require a bit of fiddling around with things, you really ought to plan to make two purchases:
The initial purchase so you can get a feel for fitment with the stock parts, and the purchase where you get mods.
This applies to harness extension, ebrake extensions, gearsensor extensions, aftermarket chainring etc.

No measurement really compares to holding up the parts and seeing how it all goes on.
Rough idea of the requested measurement: 1.5' default speedo wiring out of controller, ~8" gearsensor cable out of controller, 24" or 30" harness depending on stock supply.
Practical numbers are going to vary a lot though since you also have the place where the wiring harness connects to on controller, the matching wiring on all of these essential parts which has some length as well, as well as accessory components which have their own length. For example the stock ebrakes have ~4-5".

I buy multiconductor cables from DigiKey & solder harnesses at home in just the length that I need. Soldering is fun & relaxing. I do the work carefully (redoing it if a joint is questionable) & I have never had a failure.

      Hi,

I live in Norway, known for the high mountains and deep fjords :)

I am in the planning phase of building an electric bike, for long mountain bike tours in both winter and summer.

Today I have the following bike: 2014 model Rocky Mountain Soul
      Product Link: http://www.bikes.com/en/bikes/soul-29/2014

I look at the following products for electrification:

      1) Cyclone Mid Drive 3000 watts Planetary Ebike KIT with the following options:

      ISIS BB 68-73mm $ 35.00
      Triple Chain Ring $ 25.00: 44/48 / 32T
      50 amp 48-72v KELLY Controller for Cyclone $ 90.00
Right Half Twist Throttle with LED Voltage Display
      ISIS Crank Arms $ 24.00
Pair or eBrake Sensors $ 20.00
Cadence Sensor for Pedal Assist $ 12.00

      2) 72v Triangle Panasonic GA 17.5ah with Luna Charger

      Three questions:

      1) Should I buy a new bike to mount this on, is the RM Soul robust enough?
      2) Do I have all I need and should have for this upgrade before ordering?
      3) Is the charger compatible for 220v

Thanks for any tips and feedback!

      Best regards Tommy

The charger is not compatible with 220V. You would have to get the other 72 V one https://lunacycle.com/standard-72v-3...ebike-charger/
the pedal assist sensor is not compatible with the Kelly controller only with the stock controller.
Yes that bike would work fine. Make sure that you measure it first so you know you have the right bottom bracket for that bike.

Hey, new bbs02 with the 961 display. Less than 100 miles on it. Power cut off while riding, eror 22 bms, when I get the thing to stay on. Unable to ride. Help

I have a ebrake cutoff issue with the Luna modified Shimano Deore m615 w/ Bafang e-cutoff (#31453). I'm pretty sure I have isolated it to the magnet coming off where it was glued to the actuator handle. I can see the magnet on the front brake handle, but just an empty glue pad on the rear brake. Where do I get the proper matching magnet? The handles/magnet are far enough from the sensor, and the magnet does not move very far, so not just any magnet I can find anywhere will do, it needs to be spot-on-same in shape of its field.

If this sorta magnet ever falls off of anything it can be usually replaced with a spoke magnet for bike computer. If you Google spoke magnet you should see some.

Hi, I have the Meilan x5 tail light fastened under the seat to the rails, but lost one of the screws used to hold it together. I'm wondering what size those long, slim bolts are as well as nut size and thread type?

If you already have one of the same thing take it to home depot and they'll tell you what you need to match it.

Bins plug on your 48v 25a controller. Small wires blue yellow green? I cut bin off, black red thick is power other three thin wires. Also cut large plug at the motor end 9 pin, what is the thin white wire? Thanks in advance

Would the BBS02 fit the frame of the Taga 2.0? https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/t...ly-bike-baby#/ It looks like it takes a standard bottom bracket, but I'm concerned about the clearance on the triangular seat post support. Ground clearance isn't really an issue for a bike like this, so as long as it looks like the BBS02 will mount to the frame that looks like the best bet for electrifying this bike.

nbarry nobody would be able to tell you for sure that something you would need measure as far as the bottom bracket width.
As far as interference from that weird triangular piece, I would think that worst case scenario you might need to spend a little quality time with an angle grinder to get it just right. But that's not something we can make promises on.

What is the necessary clearance between the bottom bracket and the rest of the BBS02 housing? Unfortunately that component is super structural so an angle grinder isn't really an option.

12mm. If needed, shaving off a few mm from the edge of that odd frame piece is unlikely to affect much structurally since you don't have to grind off the welds but suit yourself

Just go my new KHS 500 Fusion with Ludicrous controller. The power had been cutting out and I couldn't restart. I finally found if I disconnect the battery and reconnect it power comes back on. Although it goes out shortly thereafter again. Went out 6 times today. The battery disconnect reconnect works everytime. Any advice?

Depends on the display. Please check out the specific listing on the site for documentation specific to that display.

            Hello,

I'm want to do the BBS02 kit on my bike but wanted to know if the 48v shark GA 13.5 battery would fit on a 2017 scott spark 710 plus xt.

            Thank you
