I am trying to order the Bafang BBSHD for a standard bracket, but it is currently not available. Do you know when the BBSHD kit for a standard bracket will become available to order? Thank you.

"Bafang BBS02 750W 48v Upgraded Controller 3077...If you are replacing the controller on an E-rad 750w or a bbs01 version A is what you need." So, I've got two questions about this upgrade. First, I've got a 32v BBS01, will this make it 48v (which is what I want, because my 32v battery is crap!). Next question, if it does make it 48v, a 52v battery will be fine, because it's really just an over charged 48v, right?

Can I disable or bypass the speed sensor on my BBSHD? I have only 2.5 miles and the speed sensor went out. replaced sensor, still no light!

Unfortunately without the speedo sensor the whole system will not run. You would need to get a new one to fix this.
-
Is the kit new? Did you adjust the sensor so it's the right spacing from the magnet?
When setting up the speed sensor its important to make sure that the red led light is on when the motor powers up. This needs to be approximately 2mm (1/8 inch) from the magnet. Refer to arrow below (Photo 4) NOTE: If the speed sensor is not close enough then you will get an error code 21 or 15H on the display If the red
If this is ruled out sounds like the controller needs replaced. Which could be a defect, or if the sensor got tangled up in the spokes it could have pulled the cable out of the controller enough to prevent it getting power, i.e. user damage. If it's not physical damage and the kit's new send us an email and we'll help out

So between winter and a significant family tragedy I wasn't really able to ride my Apocalypse or any of my electric bikes since October. Charged both my bikes and rode them, no problem. Tried to charge the scooter for over 10 hours. The display is flickering when its plugged in but it won't turn on...horn won't even blow. The charger is on but no fan and and right light is still blinking red. Key fobs still blink when pressed, no problems before storage (in a living room). Any suggestions?

Was it stored at a full charge? You might wanna email support@lunacycle.com re: seb for this as this might be outside of the troubleshooting scope for this thread.

Kept it between 50 and 80%. I'll contact them.

Can anyone explain this noise coming from a freshly greased bbs02? Only 350km. Greased both sides thinking that was the problem. Noise is back.

Kinda hard to tell. Usually when you run the motor with no resistance, It can be quite loud normally. Does it sound that loud when you're riding under full load?
I'd also check your Nylon Gear to be sure it isn't worn down slightly.
-
When I greased everything, i did replace the nylon gear. The noise is still there after riding for a couple miles or so it becomes very loud. Could it possibly be the core/stator? The bike is a Juggernaut Classic from Biktrix.

Hi all. My charging cable fell off of my Wolf V2 while riding. Its been fine for a while so I don't know if I'm not supposed to leave it in but its gone and I need another one or two. Can't seem to find them on the site can someone help me out? Thanks.

Very interested in the the LUNA FIXIE. Can someone confirm it is set up for attaching a rear pannier rack? Also, is there a convenient way to tap into power for adding a hardwired light system?

If not mounts you can always use a seat mounted rack.
I would not recommend attempting to hardwire into the system for lights. If you want to do something like that you would be better off with something like the sixfifty.

Hi, I've recently bought a road-legal sur ron which came with X controller but off road tyres. I'm only using it for city commuting, but rather fancy the supermoto tyre set for those wetter days. In addition, (while I don't care much for wheelies) I wouldn't mind losing some top speed in place of some faster acceleration, but don't really want to drop lower than about 40 mph. Is the 54t sprocket ok for this? Or is there a better option?
I have read that gearing won't affect top speed much with the x controller... But is that right?
Thanks!

Yikes, never seen a controller do that before. We can replace it no problem if it's new just let me know your order number so I can get the address.
How is the rest of the motor, does it look okay? If not just let us know and we can probably work something out, one of our agents lives half hour away if you need to drop it off.

Hi! Having an issue programming my BBSHD controller. When I load the software and hit connect a blue indicator light on the cable starts blinking and never stops. I have 3 BBSHD motors and I get the same when trying to connect to each. I've tried PC reboots changing the USB/COM ports without any success. I have been able to connect without issues in the past. Does this seem indicative of a cable gone bad? The cable connections appear to be in place and in good condition. Please let me know if you have any thoughts/suggestions.Thanks!

Hey there!
I'm very seriously considering a Surron X model or the new Apollo. I haven't been biking much for the past few years but was big into dirt biking riding trails on 450s, supermoto racing and downhill mountain biking in my youth up until 6 years ago (43 years old now but I know I'll still want to pin it everywhere). Now I live in a suburb of Vancouver, Canada and I think the Apollo with legit pedals would be less heaty riding from my apartment to nearby trails without getting busted by the man. (I don't want to get the pedal kit for the Surron as it seems kind of pointless IMO).
I know the weight is almost half on the Apollo but is 1/3 the power. My question is how would you compare the power between the 2 of them? Which one do you think might be a better fit for me?
I always found hill climbs just as much fun (if not more) than downhill so I'd like to be able to pin it up trails and gnarly hills if it'll handle that.
I've searched online for videos of the Apollo but wasn't able to find anything since it's so new.
I think I would be able to get more use out of the Apolllo without getting into trouble with the law (I could always load the Surron on my car and drive to spots but I know I wouldn't get out and ride quite as much if I can't ride straight from my hours to nearby trails).
Thanks in advance for your insights!

The Sur-Ron is way faster, more torque, more power overall but you won't be able to ride it around downtown Vancouver without a police officer eventually stopping you and asking questions. With the Apollo, you'll have a better chance at sneaking around unnoticed. So it's up to you. They are two completely different bikes really. One is closer to being a regular Bicycle while the other is more like a Mini Electric Motorbike.

Thanks HIGHVOLTAGE . I was thinking that was likely the case but without having seen any videos of the Apollo (aside from the video from paxtana about talking about it), I wasn't sure.
Maybe down the road, one of each... or a Surron and the Apex for city use. :)

You can pretty much look up on YouTube any BBSHD or BBS02 motor in use for practically similar performance. There are more Apollo owners on the Fast Electric Bike group on Facebook so you can check that out to see if anyone can post a video for you of theirs in use.Last edited by HIGHVOLTAGE; 05-27-2019, 10:58 AM.

I have a Motobecane Fantom 29 Pro NX12 http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...20.htm#reviews
and would like to know if a BBSHD motor will fit and if so what size to order? Also, what size chain ring would you recommend? Sorry I don't have a picture at this time. Thanks,

Bring it to a local bike shop and have them identify the bottom bracket type and length
How to order the right Bafang BBS02 or BBSHD the First Time ! Many folks ask the question "Will a BBSHD fit my (insert any bike here)?" . The simple answer is usually "Who knows?" . There are too many variables involved for Luna or the electric-bike forum users to give a definitive answer. The only time
If you are planning to build a mid-drive BBSxx series bike, then the first piece of information you need is what size and type bottom bracket shell you have. Full article on choosing a BBSxx kit here (http://electricbike.com/forum/forum/kits/bafang-mid-drives/10736-how-to-order-the-right-bbsxx-kit) The Bafang BBSxx series of

If you're interested in choosing a different chainring with the BBSxx kit, you'll definitely want to take a look at our offset information guide on our forums. Since they all have different offsets, some are only best with proper spacing and a straight chainline. It's usually best to just go with the Default Stock Ring or 42T Luna Eclipse ring for the most reliable setup until you've judged what your chainline looks like first and what kind of potential spacing you can use for smaller or larger rings.
Because of the presence of the motor taking up space, the point where a chainring would mount onto the motor is pushed out to the right from where a chainring would normally be. Offset is defined as how much distance you are able to bring the sprocket closer towards the frame. This results in a better chainline, less likelihood
