Generally speaking it is fine. That said, if you are starting from 100% SOC at the top of a mountain and engaging regen the whole way down, that would not be great for the battery. Use your best judgement.

Ey there, i have the LUNA BBSHD set up w/Luna Wolf V2 52v Battery Pack
, i've got the 52v advanced 300w Luna charger. my question is can i charge my batts with a portawattz (brand) 300w, 12v dc, 30a max, 115Vac output, inverter (w/using the Luna charger of course) from my car lighter? what i want to do is be able to charge my batts on the way to where i'm gonna be riding . Thx

Maybe. Certainly not with the Advanced set at 5A though.
I have seen instances where chaining multiple inverters and that sort of thing together have caused problems though, but whether it was a one-off I can't say since it is an edge case.

After a fall, I had a "small problem" with my 500c display cable (see photo)...
Is there a way to open and repair it?
Will it still be sufficiently sealed against water after that?

Yikes... I don't think that is going to be repairable but maybe if you have a pry tool set like the kind used on cellphone repair. I would get a new one.

Hi, I want to use a 2011 Kona Hei Hei 29er as the host bike. Kona's archive site has the B/B listed as SRAM X9. The BB measurement is 73mm. Will this work with a BBS02 ?

Probably, if you only use the gray lockring and not the black one and you use loctite in its place. Alternately you could try using the BSB-1 alternate mount bracket.

You might want to measure the bike bottom bracket shell yourself though because specs on pages maybe different from what you actually have.

Is the Wolf pup battery sufficient for BBSO2 build for approx 20 minutes of climbing, around 3-5 miles then an occasional boost?
This is going on a 2017 Raleigh Kodiak 2 27.5+. I plan to run a 34T narrow wide. Bike came with sram no 1X11 with 30t. I plan to upgrade down the road and put the pup on a fast scooter.

That is a 200wh battery. Generally if you take a BBS02 and are hammering it full throttle you are going to get around 26wh per mile. With it geared that way you might get a bit more efficiency, assuming you keep it in low gear when riding it.

Worst case scenario you can just get a program cable and dial down the max current, or use PAS more than throttle. But I think you should be fine for 3-5 miles.

1 we do not have an option for eu charger, you would need to buy an eu charger from an eu dealer, or maybe one of the dealers in australia
2 we are not parting out full bikes at this time
3 currently all of the surron x bikes are sold out as of a couple days ago. we should be getting more in a couple weeks but i can not make promises about any upgrades to bikes we do not currently have in our possession. it may have this upgrade, but again, that's not something i can guarantee as it is a whole new production run. we do sell the bearing separately though if you wanted to be sure.

1 that is not a level of customization we are offering at this time
2 if you take this bike outside of our service area the support we can provide would be limited, especially with the battery. It is not possible to send a return label for overseas batteries, nor would we be able to ship a new one to this location if needed. The Sur-Ron battery is reliable and we can help on small details like guidance if you need to swap the battery gauge readout, but if the battery was not repairable by you it would be problematic.

There are some Sunrace steel cassettes you could try depending on the speed of the drivetrain. For the shifting you may want to try taking it to a local bike shop to have it turned up. Hard to say if pas is cutting late, never seen anything like that before so I would doubt it, but it could be the ring is still rotating which gives appearance of it still being powered.

My perception of the PAS cutting late is based on the feel of the bike wanting to accelerate fast for a second longer than when I stop pedaling. I'm not looking at the ring to see whether it's rotating although I'm sure it is. I should have better feedback on this after my next ride. Will post then.

Quick Question I peanut butter my reduction gear an received them from some how I tried to tighten up the lockring that holds the gear and snapped it,UGH. Do you know where can I get a few others just in case I have the Grin phaserunner running a ton of power thru the BBSHD and I need to dial it a bit down due to the environment I ride (beach fat bike plus big guy way too much torque) sure I will do it a few more times till I get it perfect. any way need the lockrings not on site and or the size so I can get proper one thx appreciate help love the motor and your service.

What lockring did you snap, the grey one? The black one? A picture might help. If that's what broke you might want to use bsb-1 or bsbf-1 in it's place
