Don't think that's possible at the moment. Sorry. :( Also, please email sales@lunacycle.com for sales related questions next time btw. This thread is for basic troubleshooting.Last edited by HIGHVOLTAGE; 11-04-2019, 02:29 PM.

Need a little help. I'm a traditional bike mechanic that came across a Raleigh Cadent ie 2018 missing a battery charger. I am deeply ignorant when it comes to electronics on bikes and have been getting conflicting information on what kind of charger I should buy for it. Battery is a Li-ion battery, 48V==8.7 AH, 418WH. Seems to be a tranzx/Currie model, not the new Bosch one. Would the 48v advanced Luna charger work for this? I would like the ability to limit the charge to 80% if possible.

That charger will work with 48v li-ion batteries. If what you have is a 48v li-ion then sure it'll work. May want to check the sticker on the battery to confirm that btw.
The stock plug on that charger is xt60. I don't know what plug you got but if it's a standard barrel you need this https://lunacycle.com/solderless-barrel-connector/
It bolts on with a screwdriver, there's a video on the listing showing how to do it

I bought a BBSHD Mid Drive and I’m not sure if I need the Wiring Harness Cable to plug in my accessories (display, brakes with cut off, throttle) or if that’s just an extension? The stock cables that are attached to my BBSHD all I need to power all my accessories? Throttle, brake cut off, battery, headlights etc

Is my 13.5ah battery "healthy?"
After 300+ miles of riding I am performing the second full charge of my battery. During charging on the 52V advanced 300W Luna Charger the indicator reads 58.9v and when it finishes it reads 58.6v.

I think its a quirk with the charger. I had the same issue. Verified voltage with the bikes display and an independent Multimeter. The Multimeter said the battery was actually charged to 58.9. I have 2 batteries and that day it did the same thing on both and both read 58.9 on the bike display and the Multimeter.
I've charged since and the batteries read 58.9 on all 3. I know it's weird and threw flags for me when it happened too. Not sure if yours is the same case or not. Just sharing my experience with you.
I do know they will tell you to verify voltage with a Multimeter and then give you a link where you can adjust the voltage of the charger if need be. Good Luck!

It's fine, don't worry about it too much. There is a guide for adjusting the charger more accurately if you wanna give it a shot but it's not that far off sync so there's really no point right now.

In previous conversations I remember hearing mention Luna may be coming out with a new Charger. Any updates on that? Possible Specs?
Personal opinion I would love to see a charger as durable as the Wolfpacks. Capable of fast charging on the go (5 amps). Compact enough to stow and go on the bike.
(ERIC HICKS, PLEASE MAKE THIS & TAKE MY MONEY!!!)
That sort of Segways us into my 2nd question for the here and now...is it possible to get a 52v Luna Mini Charger in 5 amp instead of 3 amp?
Thanks!

my donor bike has a 73mm BB and I want to buy the bbshd kit. do I need the normal (68-73) or the wide one( 73-100)? I am guessing if I do not go with the wide one I will not have any adjustability to space out the motor if I need to???

two other questions is the 500c truely compatible with a 52v pack? and I want to start with the Luna Eclipse and a 42 tooth sprocket, I figure this way if worse comes to worse I can always space out the motor or sprocket if needed?

Cannot get my 52 volt 24ah triangle pack to come to life, even jump starting only works while charger is on and connected

If that is the case it is likely there is either physical damage to the battery or a malfunction in the bms. Open it up and test the cell banks, inspect visually for any sign of water ingress, dented cells, broken/cut/frayed wires. Once you have voltage numbers for each cell bank if the banks are level then email support and we may be able to help. If the cells are wildly out of balance that would confirm physical damage and you should look closer for physical damage

the bike is a specialized Pitch, so no it is not a wide bike, but it is a MTB, so should I go with the standard kit for 68-73? Will that still leave me space to space out the motor a bit if I need to?

You should measure it and follow the docs to figure out what motor will work best for your frame
How to order the right Bafang BBS02 or BBSHD the First Time ! Many folks ask the question "Will a BBSHD fit my (insert any bike here)?" . The simple answer is usually "Who knows?" . There are too many variables involved for Luna or the electric-bike forum users to give a definitive answer. The only time

Ok, so I just spoke with Specialized and confirmed my Pitch does have a 73mm BB that has the square hole pedals and a internally threaded BB. my last question is one of your employees told me that I could go with 165 or 160 crank arms dues to a bad knee. Do you have those on your web site for sale?

You would need to get the shorter square taper cranks from elsewhere. Personally I go with these in a 170 https://www.bike24.de/p1138455.html
If you want shorter you may need to get unicycle cranks. This thread has a discussion on options https://electricbike.com/forum/forum...-duty-are-they

My 52 volt 24ah triangle pack is playing possum again and has left me stranded for the 2nd time in a few weeks and I know it has a full charge. Tried jump starting all methods and can see the battery voltage when trying to charge thru the discharge port but it only stays alive when hooked up to the charger....as it is already at 58.6 volts I do not want to keep putting juice in it without the bms. Also if I have to send this pack back to get another bms installed might be risky w/o the battery at max charge. Can I get some one on one instruction on removing and reinstalling a new BMS or if there is a simple fix I am ready to surgery rather than send this pack across the country and loose my bike for a couple weeks.

This guide covers 3 related topics: Charger issues, battery issues and miscellaneous testing procedures. Highly advisable to read each section fully to help understand how your ebike works and basics of troubleshooting. Post #1 focuses on chargers, Post 2 and 3 are about battery, Post#4 is about misc questions and answers as
