thanks for answering paxtana. on lunas web site they talk about tuning torque sensors .am i mistaken ? there are you tube videos with people using their laptops to tune bafang ultras .not sure if they are getting good results though. the reason i want to try tuning is because i dont think that power is consistent when peddling up hill seems like it powers on and off display stays on. i can feel it kicking in and out hope that kinda explains well enough.

You are not mistaken but this particular thread is specifically for asking Luna questions about Luna products. More than welcome to ask on some other thread about a bike you bought elsewhere. If I had to guess I would say whatever video you saw about programming was related to the standard configuration interface, which is separate from programming for torque sensor. far as I know you need to be an authorized Bafang dealer to have access to lower level programming tools.

I have two BBSHD builds and the one with the Luna controller will only peak at 950 to 1050w and the other one i have peaks at 1550w,both tests are while riding and in the same battery condition and both have the same programming.

Maybe a high resistance connection, check the wiring on the battery going to the controller as well as the phase wiring connectors. May want to try to rewrite the profile in the configuration setting as well.
If no joy I would probably look at why you replaced the controller in the first place since it sounds from your previous responses that you bought just the controller. Maybe whatever happened damaged the motor, who knows.
If you need to do further in depth troubleshooting on this I would recommend to email support@lunacycle.com

This may or may not be the issue but it seems like you had one controller with the off road programing in it and one that does not or it is not set in the off road program. Just what came to mind when I read this. Keep in mind I'm no ebike expert.

How to mount the speed or cadence sensor for bbshd. The distance between frame and spoke is long and it's not recognizing and when I bring it closer manually, red light comes on in the sensor.

Check out this page for setup and troubleshooting. There is some suggestions on mods you can do to extend it if needed
When setting up the speed sensor its important to make sure that the red led light is on when the motor powers up. This needs to be approximately 2mm (1/8 inch) from the magnet. Refer to arrow below (Photo 4) NOTE: If the speed sensor is not close enough then you will get an error code 21 or 15H on the display If the red

i am liking my pup pack, but I am thinking of mounting a second one in addition for some rides. I take it I could just make a y harness with both positives and both negatives joined to have still 52V but more amp hours?

Yeah there's an adapter you can use as well https://lunacycle.com/xt90-parallel-...teries-as-one/
Would be advisable to read the document linked from that listing to understand pros and cons of running bms protected packs in parallel

Hi, I'm considering a build with the Bafang BBS02 on a 2013 Norco Revolver 2 full suspension. The issue is, there are 3 cables that run underneath the bottom bracket: front derailier (will be removed), rear deraillier, and rear hydraulic brake. Each cable has a little/mount that is welded to the frame, which I could grind off, but would rather not.
My question is- what is the minimum clearance between the motor and bottom bracket when mounted? I realize this will vary between bikes, but is there a minimum clearance so I can keep the cables in their location? I want to try to mount the motor rotated up as high up as possible for ground clearance. I've looked on all the forums and haven't seen a similar build.
Sorry, no photos. I just looked at this bike yesterday and forgot to take pics.
Thanks!

My X-1 just arrived. I put the handlebars and pedals on. Plugged in the cables to the display. Checked that the battery had charge. Made sure the battery was switched to on. Then I pressed the power button. Nothing. I pressed and held it for 3 seconds. Nothing. 10 seconds. Nothing.
Is there a trick to turning it on? Or might I need to scout around for a loose connection somewhere?

I just received the BBs02 type B controller I ordered. I am confused about the battery connection. The old controller has a XT90 connector. What type of adapter do I need?

Above I had asked..."Can anyone tell me the maximum "phase" amperage for a stock BBSHD controller?"
I have not been able to get an answer out of Bafang but I have played with the Grin Tech Motor Simulator and using a 30A controller (which is correct for the BBSHD) and 75 phase amps matches the peak torque output very closely to what Bafang says the motor should produce. So although it might not be exactly correct, using 75A for the phase current when modeling a BBSHD will get you real close to the correct answer.

But unless you are very comfortable with the terminology and the measurements, I'd let the person responsible for building the wheel do the calculations...i.e. your local bike shop or whoever you pay to build the wheel. It can get a little tricky and being off means you bought 36 spokes that are now trash plus paid for some labor that you'll have to pay for again when you get the correct spokes.
Not saying YOU can't do it, just a little much for the "average" person :).

Good advice. First time I built a wheel I messed it up due to the measurements, so I had a local bike shop give it a shot, then THEY messed it up due to their measurements as well, but at least when they messed up they did not charge me for the parts they had ordered which we had no use for. Definitely one of those things where if you can find a bike shop that will agree to do it for you it makes a lot of sense to go that route. Building wheels is not easy even if you have the right spoke length.

Hi, I have a Luna White Wolf 680+. It has 1x gearing, and I would like to replace the30T chainring that comes installed with a 42T. I tend to ride in the middle gears, so chain length is not really an issue. The question I have is that I'm not sure which Luna 42T chainring would be correct in order to maintain the 1x chainline. I also own the Luna Lone Wolf hardtail, and there is a spacer because it originally had 3x front chainring. So, it's not clear from the pictures on the Luna site which one I should choose.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
