Thanks for the reply. The problem (er, my confusion) is that the Eclipse chainrings on the site seem to have a two piece construction, but on mine the chainring screws in directly.

It's no issue, the Eclipse comes together as single piece made up of two pieces. They all bolt on the same way.Last edited by HIGHVOLTAGE; 12-26-2019, 04:39 PM.

Have problem to replace my original Sondors (Fold) controller with the Storm Hot Rod 20 amp Controller because the Sondors Controller has a male and a female yellow plug (female for throttle and male for PAS) and the 20 amp controller has two female yellow plugs. One of this is directly connected to the controller the other is on the adapter cable. Can you tell me which of them is the throttle and which is for the PAS sensor?
Regards
Erich

I have a Luna 52v mighty mini that measures 52.1v on the discharge port and 55.8 on the charge port.
When connected to the BBS02 and another 52v ebike the discharge port drops to ~10v and will sometimes briefly flash the display.
When connected to the 52v Luna Advanced 300W charger set to 100% the green light comes on and reads 58.8v . When I jump start the display remains 58.8 v and green light is on.
The charger works fine with other 52v batteries
I went to https://electricbike.com/forum/forum...ctrical-issues and followed all the appropriate links for troubleshooting. I am now at the stage of opening the battery to check and hard reset the BMS.

battery is about a year old with over a hundred cycles. No indication of degrading battery performance. Just happened with no warning.

The cells were 3.76 on one and 4.16-7 on all the others with 57.8 across the connector. I can't remove the connector to try a hard reset because of the silicone.

No hard reset is going to fix that. Typically that's going to be from physical damage when it is a softpack, i.e. a dented cell from dropping it, or from something banging against it etc. You could look at the physical cells for that cell bank to see what it looks like and see if it's dented, or something more akin to an internal short within a cell, or maybe the BMS drew down one bank but not the others for some reason (though that is rare) but this pack is not going to be repairable and we do not recommend to continue using it.
If you do confirm physical damage on the cell banks I would not recommend to store it indoors in your house, it should be disposed of in accordance with the guidelines on our knowledge base. https://electricbike.com/forum/forum...the-usa-canada
If wanting to replace with something similarly mini sized but protected against impacts, check out the new wolf pup https://lunacycle.com/wolf-pup/

Help. Brand new to ebike world. Today riding happily along when all systems went black and won't turn back on. Using a 52v battery pack with 750-c controller. Just wondering if there is a fuse or fuses somewhere that I can check to see if they blew. Re-charging battery now and will see if it will turn on later. Help is appreciated.

Thanks. you know when a person is new to stuff he doesn't understand a lot of new terms. I haven't found anything that explains the meaning of bbsxx or bbs...anything. I usually don't have a clue as to what any of those posts mean. Another thing is, since I bought this bike from someone else, I don't know what kind of battery I have; don't know how to take it off the bike; don't know the amperage of the thing just that I was told that it is a 52V battery. So, you can see that the old man is usually pretty confused. duh!!! The good news is that I hooked up the batter charger and after about an hour I turned the bike on and it came up. so I'm assuming I must have run it beyond it's charge. I really thought I could ride it farther than I did on a full charge. Not sure what voltage it's going to cut off at. So many questions, right? Well, I can be patient and try to learn slowly and any suggestions are welcome. Thanks. Lloyd

Just take it slow. If you're super not sure about something electrically complex, try checking Google to see if you live near any Hobby Shops that deal with R/C cars and drones. They often have experience with lithium batteries and may even be able to assist you if you explain the situation and even show them the technical troubleshooting guide that Paxtana linked.

BBSHD continues to provide assistance when I stop pedalling
As it´s winter here, I hadn´t used my BBSHD MTB for several weeks. When I took it out for a 32km ride the other day, it no longer coasted when I stopped pedalling, but the motor continued to provide assistance, forcing the cranks around. With a huge amount of resistance, I could get the cranks to disconnect from the power supply. What could be causing this? I´m guessing it´s a clutch problem, something jammed in there.
The room I keep it in is relatively temperate. It never gets below +5°C and is completely dry.
Thanks for any information that could be useful :)

If it is forcing the cranks then it sounds like the clutch is broken. The technical description for the clutch is a freewheel. If it can not freewheel it will indeed force the cranks around. https://lunacycle.com/parts/bafang-p.../bbshd-clutch/
This is the clutch. There is a video on the listing showing how to deal with it. May also need the secondary reduction gear if the broken clutch messed up the teeth on it.

Thanks paxtana! Thank God it´s such a simple operation to check and replace it.

Well I can't promise anything until you open it but yeah that's the most likely explanation, and yes would be a relatively easy and cheap fix.
If you snap a pic of the inside of the secondary I would be happy to confirm what you need. If the clutch did fail in such a way that it seized up it should be fairly obvious upon visual inspection
