It may have been mentioned elsewhere in this thread but I can't seem to find with search.....

My BBSHD from Luna has the 46t stock chainring on it. I'd like to step it up to 54t-56t. I can't seem to find anything that size on the web site even though it was mentioned a few times in verbiage. What are my options?

The BBSHD tends to run the most reliably off of a proper gearing ratio that keeps the overall load reduced as much as possible without sacrificing too much speed and power. When you take that ratio away though, it really bogs down the motor. Of course you'll gain a higher top speed but you'll see a lot more heat from the motor and less overall reliability in the long run. If not properly checked on regularly during your ride, you could easily risk overheating the motor. That's why you don't see many options above 50T. 42T - 48T is the sweet spot and the ideal size for reliability.

I ride miles of cornfileds here in the midwest and am trying to get my cadence down as well as use some of the other gearing in my rear cassette. I keep wearing out 5th gear (smallest). Is there a 52t Lekkie for the BBHSD?

Lekkie might have one available on their website. Alternatively you can try adjusting the programming and going through some of the pre-set profiles with the software to see if you can get the cadence in a spot where you are satisfied with it. Im guessing comments dont notify admins, so im making another post. I have reviewed the controller wiring diagram and feel these questions remain unanswered.

With the cyclone mini kit I did not receive a power switch aside from the one on the throttle and it has a two prong receiver(which had a connection point) but no place for the red wire with green sleeve or red wire with red sleeve, do i just leave these disconnected? And i see no place to connect the white wire with green sleeve (phase-wire?), where does that one go? is it safely left disconnected?

Also the power cable i received with the kit, and the xt90 cable i received with the battery are different gauges, is this not an issue?

One of the phase wires is on a different connector, if that is what you are referring to yes it does need to be plugged in.

Regarding the small red wire it can be a little counterintuitive but it goes with positive regardless of whether you have a switch. Like in this video

I am not aware of anyone doing something like that. In any case, if it was possible you would need a controller that can handle both 36v and 72v

Regarding the main cable that runs from the motor to the handlebars. I don't use the throttle or brake options on the bafang motor cable and never will. Is it ok to just cut off these extra connectors at the handlebar end of the cable? They are unsightly.

You don't need to keep either option plugged in. No need to cut it off. Just unplug them all and cap off the ends with tape and route them somewhere else to hide them. System works fine as long as the display is plugged in.

I would love to but from what I'm hearing from Luna it seems like I'd be waiting months for a high range batter (dire wolf or triangle) and I just cant wait that long. Planning to go with an EMP or bolton triangle battery.

Fair enough. I had a friend with an expensive Luna triangle battery, he dropped it once had to find someone to replace a couple cells in it. I just like the Wolf for it's durability since the batteries in general are so expensive. Good luck!

Andersons suck. They pull apart easily and they are pretty exposed to water and the elements. XT90's are better. However as a pre-warning you really shouldn't be riding in wet conditions without waterproofing EVERYTHING . I promise you that unless you do the proper waterproofing. You will definitely run into issues down the line. This means isolating any possible area where water can access electronics. This includes your motor gasket which will need to be double checked on both sides, core and controller to make sure they are sealed. Maybe add some liquid gasket for good measure.

And then apply di-electric grease to EVERY connector, display, throttle, crevice and make sure the battery is isolated completely from any water intrusion. Trust me. Water will always find a way if you let it.

this is a sales question. since right now the BBSHD is the only kit still in stock if I buy that is there a way to request to not require signature or have it shipped by usps and have it held in post office for pickup? I live in a unique location where I am unable to see when a package is delivered and have to rely on tracking number for indication of delivery.

what carrier do you use for shipping?

What's the proper way to raise the entire seatpost dropper on the Luna Apollo? I'm 6'3 so currently its max height is several inches too short for my legs.

I just did this, it's pretty involved because, as you noticed, if the dropper cable housing can't move with the seat, it ends up pulling on the cable. And since the thumb control is cable fixed, you can't work around it.

Here are the steps I did:
1) Get the bike upside down. I used my pretty good bike stand, but I've seen people suspend it from the ceiling by the wheels.
2) Take the chain off the front chainring.
3) Remove the plastic cover (3 Phillips screws) at the top of the motor (now bottom since bike is upside down) on the non-chain side.
4) Now the 3 nuts attaching to bolts that hold the motor to the frame are exposed. Remove the nuts and washers.
5) Push the bolts out. Watch out for the chainring position as the arms can block the bolts, but just rotate the chainring accordingly.
6) If all you're doing is the dropper cable, you should be able to lift the motor slightly to take pressure off the dropper cable, and you can now raise/lower the outer dropper post as needed.
7) Now the hard part - getting the motor back in place exactly right so you can get the bolts back in. Depending on what you did with the cables, this will be hard or really hard. Most of the motor wires can be pushed to a cavity you'll see on the non-chain side, but you still have the dropper post cable, rear brake hose, rear derailleur cable feeding through.
8) One the bolts are in you can replace the washers and nuts, then tighten. I don't know the torque setting. I did PDT, not PFT. (PDT = Pretty Darn Tight).
9) Replace the plastic cover and screws
10) Put chain back on the front chainring

do you support us access points? I have a cvs locally that I could have a package delivered to the local cvs witch is an access point and staples is an access point too?

It depends on the order. I don't think UPS Access points are going to allow large items like kits or batteries. You can just call UPS though and request to have it held at a UPS facility (same place where the access points are) for 7 days and that it can be picked up at a more convenient time at a safe location.
