bob@rtjackson.com in reference to Case #73622.
Good morning, my 52V, 20ah, Luna triangle battery died. It has a loose ground connection I can wiggle, both the charge ground and discharge ground. I use the bike for hunting and the season is over in a week so my issue is urgent to me. I have to cut into the case to fix whatever is loose or broken. How far into the case do I have to cut to reach the connection? What do I have to watch out for. This bike, by the way, is so cool. 640 miles on rough forest service roads no problems till now.
Digging into it, should I remove 1/2 of shrink wrap then peel back fiberglass to access contact?
While waiting I cut 1/2 the shrink wrap, pulled back fiberglass and see connections are good bright and shiny where they attach to the circuit board so I assume the circuit board is broken. Circuit board may be over my head. To get it to work intermittently I put on the charger, wiggle wires and it works. Remove charger and it works for a few wire wiggles then quits and will not come back on unless I use charger again. I'm beginning to think I am screwed for the rest of hunting season. Your thoughts? If you can't help, I'll need phone # and address of the folks that can repair it.
Thank you for your help,
