CPG : Looks like it's working fine when I try to add it? But if it was a different color than what was in this list it might have sold out while you were on the page.

Huh... it worked this time, and I added on my order under comments that though I prefer silver or black, I really don't care, I'll take whatever is in stock!

I'm still searching for a BB30(42mm) OD x 120mm long bottom bracket adapter bushing.

Thanks. I ordered that exact part but it seems it may be Jan or Feb before I get it and since there are no real dimensions just a description so who knows. With the number of bikes now using the BB30 I was hoping to find something like the PF41 Luna bushing in 42mm dia. Hint Hint PF42.

We are manufacturing our own version in the future for sure, I just don't have an ETA yet. We just finished first batch of American style eccentric bb adapters.

Next is the bb30, then pf30 etc

U guys could always spin up a proto and send to me for testing ;-)... I was hoping to not have to go back into the machining business to do this conversion.

Hi,

I am interested in purchasing a Luna Alite Hard Tail bike with the
BBHSD drive and have a couple questions. I'll mostly be using
this to ride a couple miles back and forth around town.

1. I am 5'10" 140lbs. Would I want to go with the small or the medium?
Probably medium? (I'd read online in the ebike guide to go on the smaller side for ebikes
so that's also why I ask).

2. This will be my first e-bike and I've heard great things about Luna. Is there any way you recommend to ride this bike so that it won't break? Suggestions? Things to watch out for. etc? (e.g. throttle the right amount so as not to overdo it, etc). I have a lot of flat bike paths I can ride it on around here.

3. With the BBHSD upgrade, what kind of speeds can I regularly expect? I'm thinking 20-25mph would be fine for me, but if it can go faster, all the better :)

4. Once I order, approximately long would it take to arrive via shipping? I live in
Colorado USA.

5. Is it possible to pay partially with a debit card and partially
with a credit card through PayPal or otherwise?

Thanks so much!

1. A medium would be the best choice in that scenario unless you like sitting low. EDIT: Ideally you would probably want a Large but I can see that's currently not an option, but a Medium will be just as good as long as you're not 80 years old with a bad back.

2. It's a Hardtail bike, so there's not much to watch out for. I would say be prepared to have spare tire tubes on hand as you'll likely come across a lot of crap on the road. Also, make sure the battery is secure using a strap like Velcro or Zipties. The tighter & more secure it is, the less likely you'll have connection issues with the pack.

3. Top Speed is practically limited by voltage with the BBSxx motors. At about 52v, you can expect about 25-30mph from a BBSHD.

4. With the Holiday seasons, on average it can anywhere from 1 week to 2 weeks if there's any delays.

5. Unfortunately this is currently not an option, but you should be to use PayPal to link both cards and pull funds from them both into your PayPal account which you can use to make the purchase.

For tips and tricks on riding I would highly recommend checking our our Intro guide (essentially our manual)

Your new Luna E-Bike: An Introduction

Hello, I need urgent help again.
So I fixed the previous problem I had but now have run into another one.
After my battery died from riding around, I have not been able to make it run again. I charged it overnight and have still had no luck whatsoever.
The charger shows a green light indicating that it is charged. But the moment I unplug the charging cord and put it back on the ebike, the indicator on the battery itself shows 0.
If it helps, here are a few things you may wanna know:
- I lost the key so I can't remove the battery from the holster. I just disconnect the cord.
- the battery is a LUNA SHARK 52v 13.5 amp/hr PANASONIC GA 702wh
- the charger is a Li-on Battery Charger. Model LBC140201. Input:100v-240vAC 2.8a
output: 58.8v - 2.0a

I did. For some reason it won’t let me post the pic. I.T says it’s to big.
The reading came out to: 37.8 if i did positive to positive and negative to negative.

There's a lot to go on here. 37.8v may be a possible indication of a tripped BMS. Can you email support@lunacycle.com with these details & pictures and I'll get back to your case in the morning? I'm currently off shift at the moment but I'll be happy to help tomorrow morning and email you back.

Either that or Paxtana can chime in if he wishes.

In the mean time you can try jumpstarting the pack to see if it helps since usually a voltage indication that low means the BMS may have potentially been tripped and needs to be reset.

If I get the 72v 11ah battery for a 72v 1500w conversion kit what would be an estimate travel range/distance using only throttle and what would be the high speed

I'm thinking I blew the controller today. Lost power, now it just jerks slightly when throttle applied, also it's hard to roll backwards. Does anyone know if I

Hello I’m considering purchasing the Cyclone Mid Drive 3000 Watt Planetary Kit and was hoping for some recommendations on a compatable mountain bike preferably a 27.5” or 29” and dual suspension. I’m on a budget so I’m looking for something under $500. The trails by my home are smooth so I won’t be putting the bike through too much stress. Would any of these bikes work? I’m also 6’4” 185 pounds.

I’d prefer dual suspension but I know there’s the issue of the battery pack space as well as cost, but i’m willing to purchase a hard trail as well. Would the 29” version of the gravity bike listed work with this kit? Also would back suspension mean there would be slack in the chain and would need a chain tensioner? If that’s the case I would probably go with the hard tail. I’m having my local bike shop build it for me, I’m looking for something that they could put together with relative ease and not have to jury rig or improvise too much. Thank you for your help

I have the Trek Marlin 5 which is just under your budget. It is a very simplistic bike but a very beautiful bike in my opinion. Depending on the size, you would also have lots of space for battery. It also comes with Hydraulic brakes so thats a plus point.

My replacement throttle arrived today and still nothing happens when I turn it on. You guys said something about if that doesn't work might replace the controller. Also send this replacement throttle back?

I assume we have already spoken via email, if so just hit reply and let us know in that conversation and we'll work it out.

So I pushed my BBSHD too hard this morning. Lost power but the remained on. Now that it has cooled it is hard to roll the bike backwards if I apply a very little throttle I can make it go (wheels off the ground) but it is noisy(grinding?). Not sure if this is controler gone bad the windings or reduction gear. Any ideas? Thanks https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wgZ...w?usp=drivesdk

Open it up, something inside broke, possibly the clutch and maybe something else like the Nylon Gear

This tutorial is to do maintenance on the BBSHD

You better don't take any chances and order a paper gasket they break very easily, Click here. (https://lunacycle.com/parts/bafang-parts/bbshd-parts/gasket-for-main-steel-gear-bbshd/)

Tools needed:
You will need a small blade

All BBSxx motors are hard to roll the bike backwards, that part is normal.

Yeah, paxtana is right unless there's an usual amount of backward resistance, in which case it may be a broken clutch. When my clutch broke, I tried to pedal backwards and was met with a ton of resistance, I pushed through it and ended up getting the clutch arms tangled in the gears and bearings when I opened it up.

The noisey grinding could probably just be a grease issue, but either way you should crack 'er open and see what the situation looks like inside. Don't worry, it's eazy peezy if you follow the guide.

My frame design is ready to roll and I have one question before I pull the trigger on my new build - does the Luna bafang ultra max with ludicrous come with the steel gears instead of the nylon gear?
Karl mentioned on his blog that it would be standard for Luna. There's a thread now on endless-sphere where someone contacted Luna support and were apparently told it's nylon gear only irrespective of the config.

Would be helpful to know. If there's an option for buying it as an add on , that's fine too.

Well, the BB is 100mm but you'll need a 120mm BBSHD to prevent any clearance or interference issues.

What length BBSHD should I get if I would like to convert a 2018 Giant Trance or Reign in the future. I know that Luna sells their Fusion bikes based on the Anthem.

So Unfortunately my battery is broken.
For some reason whenever i check the voltage of the 3rd and 4th prong on the BMS system of the battery, they showed up as 0. What’s weirder is that when i check the voltage of the first and last prongs on the BMS, it’s shows up as 58.4v.
For reference, i have a shark 52v 13.5ah battery.
So my question is that how do i replace the broken cell in the cell bank.
Or, how do i send my battery to Luna cycle for repair because according to the pic i linked, I.T says that you may want to send the battery to Luna cycle for repair and not try I.T yourself.
I just want to know what the best option would be.

Thanks :)

Likely a bad/broken sense wire from a cell group. The fact it's 58V total is clue that the cells are probably fine but the "sense wire" channel connection between cell group and BMS is wonky.

Email support@lunacycle.com if you wish to explore repair options. Be advised, it won't be cheap or easy as battery packs are PITA to ship. Especially by end users without hazmat certificates.

My new 52v Luna advanced mini charger just clicks led 1 and led 2 and then cycles again. I'm trying to charge a brand new 52v mighty mini battery. The voltage meter says my battery has 47.7 volts.
