    This is worth reading and likely will give you some insight into the variables:

    Will the BBSxx fit in my bike? This is a question that many of us need help in answering. The question you should be asking first is "what kind of bottom bracket does my bike have"? You need to know the answer to this in order to understand how the BBS02 or BBSHD will fit in your bike and what size motor to choose. Nex

      So I still can't get into my inexplicably password protected bike. If I buy a new display, will that let me use it, or is the password keyed to the motor/controller in some way?

      Question about ship cost for batteries: I'm looking at purchasing both a case of 50 GA cells as well as triangle 52v PF battery pack. The triangle pack contains 98 cells with flat rate ship cost of $35. The case of 50- GA cells costs $50 for shipping.

      Two questions:

      1) Why does 50 cells cost more for shipping than 98 cells?
      2) What is the ship cost when I purchase both of these at the same time?

      I'm also looking to purchase a BBSHD drive kit. Is there a discount for purchasing the battery pack with the motor kit? I'll also be purchasing the Luna charger.

      Many thanks!

        Total newbie here...just got my 4 Season 1000 w/Ludicrous out of the box and together aside from the cables up near the handlebars. The throttle looks like it's supposed to plug into the cable that it's closest too it but the other two have no where to go. What are the three cables and do the two not plug into anything?

        Thanks!

          The other 2 go to your ebrake cutoff cables.

        Just my two cents worth here. I work for UPS as a haz mat (dangerous goods) auditor. UPS charges the shipper a whopping $75.00 for each package that has haz mat papers, and anything over 300Wh requires that paperwork. This charge is over and above the regular shipping cost. I don't know what carrier Luna uses, but I'm just sayin' that shipping any appreciable amount of Li ion or Li metal batteries is not cheap. Best of luck on your project.

            There are plenty of size charts for MTB frame choice. E-bike sizes are a matter of personal preference. I am 6'3" and like a medium or large frame if I am using a lot of throttle because it feels like a flickable motorcycle to me. My exercise e-bike is XL because I need to stretch out my legs on the pedal stroke.

          Having a great time on my Luna build. Here's what I'd like to know;
          The PAS levels and the terminology. what does current %, speed %,unloaded max speed, unloaded 42/11 speed, speed step size, current offset vs speed........
          Can someone explain this in laymen's terms?

            This will give you as much insight as we can currently gather https://electricbike-blog.com/2015/0...ing-the-bbs02/. Don't get all caught up in trying to understand all the technalese, unless that's what matters to you of course. I think Karl breaks it down pretty good for us laymen.

                I was wondering what a few of the wires in a BBSHD harness do.

                Wire numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, or the two browns the green and the yellow what do they do. What I am looking for is a PAS signal outside of the motor but I don't think I will be that lucky.

                  BBSHD MOTOR ORIENTATION;

                  The Chain Guard Mount only allows the motor to hang directly under the Bottom Bracket. Aside from ground clearance are there any other (downsides LOL) to this configuration?
                  I would rather not grind off the mount if I don't have too.

                  Thanks!

                    Motor will run fine in any orientation. It may put your wiring in harms way.

                      Ok got the 3000 w cyclone motor running with the KELLY 50amp Controller for Cyclone

                      I just not feeling the power I get about 20 to 25 mph then that is it I am using 52v Panasonic GA 18650 24ah Pack HIGH POWER + LONG RANGE

                      is there a way to get more power out of the motor/controler

                        The 52v is bottlenecking your top speed. If you want to see an increase in top speed, you need to upgrade to 72v.

                      Looking to install the 29er rear wheel kit on my MTB, it uses a 142x12mm Maxle. Will I be able to use this kit on my frame?
