Hi. I was hoping someone could tell me the wheelbase of the LUNA CYCLE TRUCK CARGO EBIKE: https://lunacycle.com/luna-cycle-truck-cargo-ebike

If the wheelbase is more than 44 inches, then what is the wheelbase when the front wheel is turned backward. (I'm wondering if it will fit on a bus rack, max 44 inches.)

This bike currently isn't in stock and may not be available again unfortunately. You can try emailing CycleTrucks for more information on the frame itself.

Okay. Thanks for the quick response!

So flashing back to the previous controller firmware failed?

New charger wont work, flashing and clicking.

I just got my bike back from the shop with a Bafang BBSHD installed. I went to charge the battery for the first time but the charger doesn't seem to be working properly. It's the Luna 52v mini advanced 3amp charger. I plugged the charger into the power supply first and both LEDs light up,one red and the other green. When I hool up the battery both LEDs begin to flash in unison about every 2 or three seconds accompanied by two clicking sounds. With every flash and click the fan does a little jolt ass if it's trying to start. No charging is taking place as far ad I can tell. It's a 52v battery and it's sitting at 48.4v (around 50%). Also when I turn the computer on the battery meter on the display reads full, I don't know why that would be. Anyone encoutered this before? Any thoughts or advise? Thanks for your time.

Your charger is not recognizing the load of the battery. You should also have an adapter that can plug in between the charger cable and the barrel connector that plugs into the battery. I posted the same problem a few posts back and I posted a picture of it with my fingered pointing at it. Unfortunately Luna doesn’t seem to include this in any of their documentation.

I see. The only piece I was supplied that looks similar to what you've show is called the "tube 125." But because it has a male connector on both ends, I can plug it jnto the battery pack, but it then makes it incompatible with the charger. maybe be it's the wrong part, or just somethings different all together and I just don't have the part I need. here are some photos:

After looking at a battery connector parts list it seems like this is just an XT60 male to male. Doesn't look like I was supplied the part you're talking about. Either that or the bike shop that did the instal misplaced it. Do you happen to know the part number?

That is correct, that's just an xt60 male to male adapter. We can send you the fix adapter if yours was missing or misplaced, email support@lunacycle.com your order# and we will send it to you.

              Thanks paxtana! will do.

Hi everyone, another quick question about the Apocalypse v2. Does anyone know the max continuous and peak amps output to the motors by the controller at 60v? Also do my have any torque stats on the Apocalypse?

            Thanks,
            Chris

Sorry this is not information we have at this time, we'll look into getting those answers added to the manual when we can.

Howdy all, I am embarking on a custom build on a Cogburn CB4. I went with the rear rack battery (big boy) 52v Flat Fish Panasonic PF Pack with Keyed Ignition Switch.
            https://lunacycle.com/52v-flat-fish-...nition-switch/

Where do you charge it? There is a RCA looking jack on the back by the tail light, one on the side with rubber cap and the big main anderson discharge connector (luna adds a XT60 adapter in the kit).

Also does anyone know if this pack can take light rain if I get caught in a storm?

            Thank you for all

I’ve used triangle bags and ridden in a very light drizzle but the battery isn’t the only concern when it comes to water: the display, throttle, brake cutoffs, and other components in most (all?) ebike systems are at best water resistent. Some connectors on kits are advertised as waterproof but do not have an official rating (ex: IP67 or IP68).

I would wait for an official answer from a Luna rep regarding waterproofing the battery and kits. Generally it is advisable to avoid riding in the rain whenever possible. Otherwise the electrical gremlins can start to show up!

Most water-related cases we see during the winter are related to water mixed with road salt, thankfully the rear rack batteries mount higher which helps with that situation. As far as normal water, the steps you could take to enhance water resistance varies from model to model so I will just mention some general guidelines.

Dielectric grease on electrical contacts and sealant wherever the edges of the case cover meet. This sealant could be liquid electrical tape, or RTV silicone, even epoxy or many other sealants.

Also it's worth pointing out that if you wanted to you could just stick a grocery bag over the whole thing and call it a day. This has the bonus of being easily accessible if you ever need to open the battery up.

Here's a couple links to read on the subject

How resistant is the kit to large amounts of rain? The controller is potted (i.e. the circuitboard is encased in a resin) and there is a gasket that prevents moisture from getting in to the motor itself where the controller connects with the motor, and all of the wiring connectors are water resistant as well. Which all helps a

I have a bottle battery. Notice on front says limit water exposure. Does that mean do not use in the rain? It rains a bit in Texas.

            Question for Luna reps:

Have you considered importing a Luna badged Tongsheng TSDZ-2? It offers torque sensing at BBS02 power levels and similar budget friendly prices. The best part is that it fits normal bottom brackets, unlike the new proprietary Bafang offering.

Seems to me like it fills a serious gap in the ebike market (mid power, torque sensing, easily DIY-able into your own bike.) But I could be wrong!

Either way, I’ll probably be giving one of these motors a test drive in the near future. Just thought I’d ask about it for now! :)

Does anyone know what the final resolution was on the throttle + pedaling issue?

I emailed support and was told it could not be fixed, but also found a thread below that seemed like it had been addressed? Curious what the latest is on this topic.

I found the post here: https://electricbike.com/forum/forum...3046#post53046

EDIT: Sorry, just looked over last page and I see that someone else asked this same question. Sounds like the fix doesn't work. Darn!

I'm interested in the Apex or upcoming Apollo bike.
1, I read on Karl's blog on the Bafang Ultra, he wrote Luna ships with a metal gear instead of a plastic one. Since the BBSHD handled 50A with a plastic one, how do you guys feel about doing 60A with the Bafang Ultra?
2, Does the rohloff package come with a thicker and more durable chain? Since there is no need for a thin 10 speed one? Would be awesome if you could go for a carbon belt drive option.
3, Do you accept crypto as a payment form? Would save me about 30% if I decide to buy.

                Hi

                1) Well the ultra needs a metal gear if you want 50amps out of it we will even have a 70amps Mag ultra in a near future. The BBSHD does not need a metal gear.
                2) We do not have this info about chain width, but to be honest the chains we use don't break under power! And yes it would be nice but we can't as the swingarm triangle is closed, so would not be possible to insert a belt.
                3) No unfortunately.

Thanks for the answer. Would the belt drive be possible for the Apollo? From what I've seen on other bikes the rear suspension linkages can be opened for service.
Is the mag ultra an upgrade for the bafang ultra bikes, or something completely different?

The Apollo bike has a different suspension type and I would assume that you could open a pivot to slide a belt in the triangle.

The Mag Ultra is not out yet so can't comment on it till it's official released.

              Hi
would you ship a Sur-ron dirt bike to the U.K? If so, what kind of shipping service would it be , and what would be the approximate cost of shipping?
i would like to make a purchase and I am considering ordering straight from China, but thought you maybe able to drop ship on an order for me or ship direct from the U.S.
              Thanks

Mac only makes 135 or 170mm rear hubs..

Normally a 142mm boost is for a 12mm through axle, , But you can have custom drop-outs made for a 14mm (10mm flat side) drop-in axle, in that case a 135mm mac would fit (the axle is over 200mm wide).

Hi, I have a month old Sondors Original Fat Tire , just got your battery upgrade, and now I want the power upgrade - I need to buy the screen and the 20a controller right? I wanted to be sure I had the right pair that would plug in to my bike.
