    Bbs-hd workshop manual

I have a Bafang BBS-HD and like most of other fellows I love to do my own maintenance and repairs myself. These days one can get workshop manual for just about anything so my question is: Were would I be able to purchase one for my BBS-HD. Just like to check my controller performance as I am having some issues with it at the moment. Any ideas??

    Hi Clem

Unfortunately you will find structured info like that VERY thin on the ground, we all have to rely on forums etc for info.

My DRZ400 has a 350 page manual to help me out, it gives me the shits that Befang have so little regard for there customers.

I was very disappointed on the lack of info to the point that I nearly didn't buy into an E-Bike system.

here's a blog with some very well documented info

Alas still no hard info in the form of a repair manual

If such a thing does exist I would pleased as punch to be corrected

In the meantime I just muddle through and use common sense

Thanks Felix (the Cat) you are right. I can't find detail info on how test electric components and at the end of the day I can't afford the $110 an hour that someone to tell me what I already think it is. Appreciate your input as people like you make this forum a good place to come for help. Cheers Clem

Why would you need to purchase such a thing? Luna makes all info freely available in a special section of this site specifically for documentation called the knowledge base. We also have an in-depth wiki if you prefer. Everything is structured, searchable, linkable and interactive, way better than any printed manual.

If there were any more info specific to it we would add that too but it's pretty much comprehensive at this point.

Thanks Paxtana, I just had a closer look through the Knowledge Base, it sure looks to cover everything

For some reason I was fixated on the forum

          I need to read that

Where is the Wiki, I did a search for electric bike forum wiki but no results

          Thanks

It's on Reddit, I started it way back before Luna existed and still add to it regularly. This is the bbsxx section. A lot of it links back to KB but it's great for organizing the main references on a single page.

Just do a search on YouTube for `BBSHD Repair` or similar.

Much better than any repair manual.

I don't learn well at all with videos - I'm old school and do *much* better with written material and would really like a "real" searchable .pdf manual with exploded views, etc. like I have for my cars an motos... but that's not the chinese way.

I get insulted by the laziness of suppliers who think a cell phone camera is a substitute for sitting down and doing proper documentation. I got better things to do with my time than waste it watching a video that may or may not have the information I'm looking for instead of being able to go to the proper section in a manual. But then again, I'm an old curmudgeon....

I love a good exploded diagram, video's are a good addition to any manual

For example, available free from thumpertalk along with a complete list of parts and part numbers

On the upside ebike world can only get better
