    Big jerk

BBSHD kit installed on a Yuba-like cargo bike (RadWagon). No matter how slowly I get on the throttle, there is a jerk from the motor that is going to wear out the chain way too early, and I can feel the shunt come up through the frame. I'm not fussy, and if that's the way it's supposed to be I'll accept it. Also, I have a really long chain, which may be exaggerating the effect. But I wonder if there's something I can do to get the torque to come on smoother than it is now.

You may be able to adjust the start current via programming.
