Luna/Bafang HD motor 120 mm - Not sure if I need more washers? Photos attached

    Hi!

I am in the middle of my first build (installing Luna/Bafang HD motor 120 mm on new Motobecane Boris X7)...total newbie to e-bikes and working on bikes...but I dig it...anyway, I have a gap on the non-drive side bottom bracket and want to know if I can just go out and buy washers/spacers to make this fit better as the way I have it now will not work...also the black spacers that hold the motor in place...did I use these correctly?

I made notes on the attached photos...hoping this is an easy fix.

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge...super excited to get riding.

No your not going to need those 2 spacers in photo 1. As long as the bolts aren't too long remove them. If the locking adaptor is tight but the motors loose then you will need to purchase another spacer kit from Luna. You may get washers from a hardware store but the chances are they'll be a lot larger than the Luna spacer kit. It may do as a temporary measure until the others arrive.

Rodney64, thank you for the comments...sorry for the delay...I did order some spacers from Luna...got them just in time for our trip to Oregon. Motors and bikes are looking good...LBS finished up the other parts of the build.

As above - on my 120mm BBSHD the bolts were way too long so I just bought some shorter ones from a local hardware store. You can always cut them too if you've a mind to.

The BB spacers - order some 4mm ones from Luna to make up the difference - you really do need something. And if you get something from the local hardware store, make sure it won't rust.
