Quite a few were shipped on Friday, including many of the first orders. Local pickup notifications are special and can add a bit to lead time, but not by much. Likely you will get the notification sometime this week.

Honestly if it's a firmware update I would rather let them work that out before shipping since I would imagine it wouldn't be very easy to do on our end to update

Random question but I am not super familiar with the motor and belt system. I am hoping to at least get some degree of exercise while biking and was wondering if the large motor and single gear basically negate the need to pedal? I've been searching for a folding bike and this thing just seems so rad that I really want one but can't really find a lot of info on it because it's so new.

I noticed the Eclipse does not come with a rear rack. Do you think this one would fit the bike or are their any suggestions for mounting racks / carriers on this bike? Bike Luggage Rack Rear Adjustable Bicycle Touring Carrier https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0924GJ4PG...ing=UTF8&psc=1

This bike is full suspension, it wants to flex between the rear wheel and the seatpost. If you put a rack like that on it which mounts onto both those parts you would be putting a large amount of stress on the rack and you would lose all rear suspension.
More ideal would be a rack that solely mounts onto the seatpost, like this https://www.bikebling.com/Blackburn-...6-7044592.htm?
There are probably some models out there that reinforce to the seat tube as well if you need something with a bit more carrying capacity.

I can not speak to future policy decisions or whether there will be later updates but it is technically possible to update the firmware. This video shows it https://youtu.be/7oYHpgMwC-E
That is not to say the cable used in the video or the software or the firmware files are necessarily available or something that will be offered. But it is possible to update the firmware on it.

racked up about 70 miles on my eclipse already, lots of urban riding with no pedaling and all throttle. installed some cheap cst knobby tires and took it offroad, again with no peddling the bike did ok going up the hills. when it got steep it would slow to a crawl but still kept going. for the downhill riding, which is what i wanted it for, i was pretty happy with it. i just need to play with tire pressures and shock settings to get it dialed in. overall happy with the bike and im so ready to start modding it.
