Thank you Luna for my Eclipse

Unboxed late monday night, holy crap, what an ebike! I mean bigger, bolder and more aggressive than pics can convey. I'm floored, that I own such a bike.
Tue morning I had a planned trip to Ocean City Md. Folded and into the back of my friends suv.
Thur morn the Eclipse was the BADDEST bike on the boardwalk for an early morning debut of 20 mi. It's an attention gitter- I mean Everybody was checkin it out, even grandma's!
Can't stop smiling an it's fri nite and I'm back home, wishin I had a cool pic to post of her as the sun came up- first ride no extras except a 5mm to adjust brake.
You guys got a great package in this bike and I hope you are prepared to sell a boatload of em. Thanks

used the Gates app to check my belt tension upon unpacking. 49 hz, spot on from Luna. Looks like they care about the name on the box and on the bike.
WAY cool and super easy way to check your belt tension.

New shoes and sox. Just got my Badger's installed. Thanks for finding them obscureyetrevealing, unfortunately gained 4 lbs, but they look as good on mine as they do on his. added Stan's to the tubes and blue rim tape on wheels before adding the super 73's. my tail sits on a cloud 9 metroline airflow. Bigger, padded and a nice fresh airflow port for my old guy parts.

I forgot to mention the Cloud 9 metroline airflow seat has a cool slim handle that's still beefy enough to throw the bike around with. finding it VERY handy!

nice build so far, i swapped my tire to the super 73 grzly's. sadly i noticed the weight gain as well, slower acceleration and top speed seemed to be affected too. just a compromise to get rid of those slicks i suppose.

Not seeing a difference in top speed with the Badgers-still hits 24.6 mph flat out level. I think the Grizzlys might have less contact footprint with the pavement due to their more aggressive knobby tread.

for go fast = smooth slicks for the street- aggressive lugs for the dirt

I think the BDGR is a great compromise for my intended Eclipse riding- mostly rough country roads and trails

Going to mount this Topeak beamrack on the Eclipse as soon as I can rig the mount bracket to fit the seatpost. It's a couple mms too small, but the rack is compact, silver, angle's look good with bike frame and it's discontinued from production, so it was a bit less expensive. Ordered thru REI, and there's prolly a couple left if anyone with a silver eclipse wants one. about $46.

Got the rack and clamp welded and time for a trial fit and see how it looks. Last pics show the pannier brackets which attach in seconds. could be handy for extended trips. Topeak makes a quick detach bag with convertible side pannier bags, but it looks like a Gucci makeup case and pretty fluffy, so I don't know about getting it. I'll prolly just bungee a bag on the rack, at least for now.
