Yes please. We're almost into April 2022 I'm wondering if you have any orders expected to arrive soon. I understand you don;t always know what's in the order but I'm just trying to decide if I should wait or just order one from AE and wait the 5+ weeks. Thanks!Last edited by extravaganttraveler; 03-28-2022, 12:57 PM.

Dang that's a bummer. AE is the only place that has it but it's double the price (and probably half the quality)!! Thanks for the response though.

Hi there, have been waiting for Dire Wolf availability for almost a year now. Am on the notification list. I understand the supply issues. Was just wondering if you have any rays of hope that you could share for that battery? Is it looking like we probably won't see it this year? Is it so unpredictable that at this point we should probably just go to the ebike marketplace? (not a threat, just thinking that if you're not sure if you're going to have them for another year, then having waited a year so far, it probably makes sense to look for whomever has stock)

I purchased my original BBSHD from Luna in 2017 (order # #25132) but not with a battery; just the upgraded Luna controller with hot rod programming. At the time you just sold a shark with limited range, so I had a 21ah pack made. I rode the first battery pack in to the ground and the Dire is clearly the best replacement. So just hoping to replace my dead original pack with the best I can get.Last edited by tboChristopher; 02-17-2022, 07:43 AM.

I Bought a BBSHD from Luna a few months ago, and have been waiting for the Wolf Pack V2 to come back into stock since I bought the BBSHD. I am wondering when Luna will have them in stock. I have done a lot of research on different batteries but I kept being slammed back to the Wolf Pack. I would be happy to settle for one of the unpotted batteries, as long as they have genuine cells. it is very annoying to have to wait for so long. reply ASAP.

I doubt that triangle or any softpacks will ever be restocked, sorry. I'll get back to you on Wolf when we have one for special order. We are kinda moving away from selling batteries for various reasons so not much I can recommend that is made by Luna these days with regards to that, but generally speaking the battery you would need would be dependent upon how far you need to go, where you can charge, how often you want to charge and what kind of frame space you have available. So you may want to bear this in mind.

Thanks, but I just went ahead and bought a different battery. the whole point of a Luna battery was the quality of the cells and I found a good quality battery here at: https://www.electrifybike.com/collections/batteries. however, if Luna would have had a battery then I would have totally bought from them, I just needed the battery now.

I too bought a BBSHD kit from Luna. I planned my whole build around the Wolf Pack as it fits my bike’s frame. I couldn’t get a Wolf Pack when I got my kit, though I got the adapter from the Andersons connector to the XT90. I’ve been communicating with customer service and Tony has told me Wolf Packs would be available in a few weeks. I need two because my rides are always around 45 miles with 2500 feet of climbing. I was planning on getting the 13.5ah batteries. My BBSHD kit order was #199921.
I can’t tell you how important this is to me. I’ve spent months planning this build—and it was all based on the Wolf Pack, it’s quality and the connectors. I bought the XLR adapter to XT90 from Grin Technologies so I can charge with my Satiator, and I also purchased Luna’s best smart charger with the XT90 charging cable. Again, my order was #199921.
Thanks.

So I guess the ultimate question is this. Is Luna going to quit making batteries period—including Wolf Packs—to sell with their BBSHD kits? If that is the case, then would we not be able—at all—to get another Wolf Pack down the road? I learned the hard way when my ebike was stolen, that connectors, battery mounts, and charging ports must all match up or your expensive battery is useless—particularly when you need more than one battery. It is essential for us to know this clearly.

It did kinda sound like he was saying all batteries. Guess we will have to wait for the clarification. I could imagine how they are a major hassle to deal with on every level and that there isn't enough profit in doing it well to make it worth the hassle. But it also seems like a selling point for other products to also have batteries.

Sorry for any confusion, just to clarify, at this time we are not discontinuing Wolf or Direwolf battery production. I agree these are important products despite the industry as a whole moving towards prebuilt bikes. Luna's roots are in DIY, which is something myself and the support team are proud of. Anyone who has built with a kit knows it is not just a matter of having a credit card like with prebuilt, but a learning experience that results in a unique bike of your very own, we love being able to help make those projects happen.
That said, pretty much any battery that is not wolf or direwolf is probably not going to be restocked ever, and for these two models that will continue, demand is likely to exceed production capability. When we do have them in stock they will likely be prioritized to be bundled with kits, but if you have already bought a kit let us know and we can arrange special order for one depending on availability, or get back to you when we can arrange to do so.

I did purchase my wife's motor kit hoping to get the battery with it, I bought mine the same way you described and got the direwolf as a special order. Can you please make sure I'm on the list for the Wolf for her motor at least? I would hate to have to keep that bike on the shelf for more than a year, I got both our 1 year ago and am waiting for her battery now. The order number is either 184896 or 165494 (one is mine and one's the wife, I believe the later is mine and I've got my battery already).

Any chance of my getting in on the Wolf Pack ordering queue? I'm not buying BBSHD kits, I buy bare motors from you, along with the bits I need to complete a build myself. I have lots of bikes and with swapping parts around I usually have most of what I need in my parts pile. My two most recent motor buys were in the last few weeks (BBSHD #'s 6 and 7 from Luna for me): Order 200381 just a few weeks ago and 187519 in October.
I just bought a ~2000 Intense Tracer frame and that old relic should be a perfect fit for a Wolf pack. I have a v1 Wolf on another bike I could swap in but I'd rather get a new one if possible.
