How do you replace a 52V Panasonic Shark Pack Charging Port?

I have an older Shark Pack with the barrel charge connector. It has failed after only 600 miles (my previous 48V pack is still going strong at 3500 miles, well the charge port is strong, battery not as much). I noticed that the new Shark Packs come with an XLR connector. Has anyone swapped out the old barrel connector with something a little bit more robust?
The old connector looks like it is just hot glued in place, so if I could find the right part I would probably swap it out with an XLR connector. Or maybe something else is better.
I've seen other members talk about switch out the entire case which seems a bit overkill.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Im new to all this but I got a 52v shark and could not get the adapter between charger and battery.I had to replace plug on battery.FYI,its not a true mini xlr 3 pin.You pick away the hot glue and there is a nut underneath.Easy
