My electric scooter (sorry) lithium polymer battery.

Ever since I purchased my scooter I was aware of the dangers that ensue fully discharging a lipo battery, and I have been very diligent on preventing my scooter from going to zero. But is that really needed? Did they program it to where it only discharges to a point that is still safe? My scooter is the ruima mini 4 pro.

Your scooter's BMS should prevent your battery from going beyond the minimal voltage to prevent damage or battery depletion. Just like in cars, when the fuel light is on, there's still about 5-10 liters in the tank. Even if this is a feature present in most scooters, you should always refrain from draining your battery to such low levels to preserve its longevity. If you're new to scooters and their batteries you might also wanna check the guide on electric scooter battery guide from Dig My Ride. I'm sure you'll learn a lot about the different kinds of batteries scooters have. Hope this helps you! :)
