There are 2 versions of the DG168.
The oroginal plastic version with 7 blades and 5 curved motor support arms. They are almost square to support their special 150mm x 4 hole 1/4" drilling. they have the Dell prorprietary 5 pin plug.
There is a metal housing version also. 5 blades with 4 straight motor arms and rounded corners. It has a 140mm x4 hole 1/8" drillling. It has a white connector so may have a standard 4 wire fan pinout.

You won't be breaking a blade on a DG168 with your finger..There is another # for this fan, but I gave this one so you could get the screen. They used to be $5-$10 from computer scrappers, but I guess the word is out, they're more like $20 now. 260cfm. They cooled 2x 130W CPU workstations so 1cfm/Watt

I have the same or similar double-leg stands on my bikes - at least the ones that have kickstand plates. They've held up well - so well that I'm scheming up ways to cobble them onto my no-plate bikes, where the dopey frame designer left the plates off for aesthetic reasons (or something).Comment

I have that stand too. 72# bike no problems. Takes up less space at sidewalk cafes. Holds the bike up in grass or mulch (but not sand). Can work on the bike, like lube the chain, adjust gears,and brakes..
I would look into some Pinhead locking skewers, headset cap, and seat post clamp. Cable locks don't even slow thieves down around here.
Big chains, U locks, and folding locks slow them down some. But it's not uncommon to see a bare frame locked up around here.

At that level I would just put a 350W hubmotor kit. Set it a 20mph, and fix whatever happens next. You could probably ride pretty far with a 12Ah 48V. battery. But here in FL they steal anything they can. Walmart bikes get stolen all the time. Most bikes in Miami have probably been stolen twice.Comment

McMaster Carr can provide shafting material if you can use cut threads. I bought the 10mm stuff from Loose Screws, but needed the full 10mm shank for the sealed bearing so went McMC for that. I needed an extended threaded axle to hang a Rapid Rise Saint derailer off the end of a mag wheel with freewheel layout. That's on hold while I sort out the zip tie mod.
I think your brakes may be trailing smoke coming back down that 8 mile hill.At the end of the day a 20 year old 3x8 26" MTB with Avid BB7 cable brakes is hard to beat for a donor bike. My bike originally didn't have discs. They were the latest thing back them. By the time I added them I had spenat 1/2 the cost of the new bike, and thrown 1/2 the bike away. 20 years on and +1500W later it' was money well spent. Now a bik like my Gary Fisher can be found for cheap.
