ID:	172578 Added a 1500 watt direct drive hub to my Schwinn Axum that had a bafang BBSO2 about 3 years ago. Running 48 volt 35ah battery and a 45 amp controller that has Regen and field weakening on the hub, 52 volt 20 ah battery on the BBSO2. This bike goes uphill at least 10 mph faster than either motor alone and neither motor is stressed. Don't care how it looks function is what matters around 6000 miles on the combo so far. Would add a picture but doesn't seem easy.

    Wow that is cool !
I would like to see some pictures , it is not that hard , what issues are you having ?

I do believe you that your setup is fast , but would it not have accomplished to same results just by upgrading to the BBHD ?
That is what I have , and it eats hills for breakfast ! LOL . Still You have one advantage over Me , 2 wheel drive ! That is cool ! :)

I be interested in how You managed to set that up , how would one sync a 2 wheel drive system that incorporates 2 different systems ?

My hub motor is on the rear, a few advantages of this is it will go uphill a least 10 mph faster than a stock bbshd and both motors will be cooler also since I only use the mid drive for hills and just throttle the hub everywhere else drivetrain wear is cut way down. I am running 3 batteries as some rides are around 50 miles. The weight is all centered so even if on the heavy side it handles really well.

        Ok, I see ! Nice !

this Is my rig , a BBHD with a modified aftermarket controller that says it can push 3000w . Not real sure of that because i am only running a 40 amp , 52v battery . I would need a 50 amp battery to see the full potential .
I have had it up to about 35 Mph , 40 mph if I go downhill . and for Me that is as far as I have pushed it . 40 Mph on a Bicycle is sketchy IMO .
        Here is My setup
