As far as the battery goes I will consider doing something similar to this: http://electricbike.com/forum/forum/...6915#post16915 , with a custom battery.
But I'd really like to use a Shark Battery. But since I cannot drill into the seat-tube to install a few Rivet Nuts (the type of threaded insert for water bottle), I will look at the Shark Pack mounting bracket and how I might hose clamp (or clamp of some sort) it to the seat-tube. I measured the seat-tube on the inside and it is just over 15".
After putting together that Fuji mountain bike I realized that the BBSHD could climb my 1 1/4 mile long 11% grade overall hill to my house pretty easily. And with that in mind I'd rather be in a more comfortable riding position.Last edited by g725s; 09-25-2016, 03:28 PM.

Wow that is a sweet bike. Where are you going to put the battery?
Could make a nice foundation for an italjet clone, a project I have been dreaming up for a while now. Only question is whether a battery could fit inside the tank space...

Link to build? And is yours different? As you reference the same model name. But with Fat instead of Fatt.
Edit: link to SpinningMagnets build... http://electricbike.com/forum/forum/...fat-with-bbshdLast edited by g725s; 09-28-2016, 07:00 AM.

It had a nice heavy duty built-in kickstand in a position where you can still spin the chain.
And mounting tabs for the tail-rack they sell.
It puts you in a very comfortable riding position.
I saw that build where he put the motor inside the triangle.
I was thinking just keep the motor under since everything is black and then modify the chain guard so you can keep that.Last edited by g725s; 09-24-2016, 05:52 AM.

Electra Lux Fatt 7D - Matte Black
Found a cool Electra cruiser that I want to build up as an electric. Electra does not link directly to it on their website that I can find. In the link below they refer to it as an Electra Lux Fatt 7D in Matte Black.
I like that it has Disc Brakes 180mm front and rear.
A Standard 100mm Bottom Bracket.
The measurement inside that straight seat tube is 15" if you wanted to mount a battery there.
It is one of the few Electra cruisers with disc brakes. Pretty light too, as it is all Aluminium / Alloy everything

And this is the Ladies version of this bike:
My local bike shop said this model was not popular with ladies because of the color and that they might not be making them. Again these are not listed on the Electra Website either, except a mention as a blog post : http://www.electrabike.com/blog/2016...r-lux-fat-tire
