So I had been thinking about building an electric bike for some time...decided to put on a BBS02 on my vanmoof s3...this is my first electric bike and boy I'm impressed with this kit..so quiet and smooth...the power is amazing..the 8 speed alfine hub works great with this system..i consistently ride 25 to 30 kms an hour...this bike eats up the hills now...

DRZ Dave hey ?? I'm guessing you have a DRZ400 ?? Me to..
Love the Vanmoof, quirky kind of things, really strong too, I keep considering a Vanmoof as well.
How's the Alfine8 going, I'm tossing up between an Alfine8 and a Sturmy-Archer 3 spd
Cheers
Felix.

Hey guys...sorry...haven’t logged in here for awhile...Felix u were right..I did have a drz400s...still regret selling that one...so u guys like the vanmoof huh....well it it a great bike for sure...I had for awhile before I put the bafang kit on it...as a bike it is very solid and comfortable ride...I love the built in headlights and the IGH..get a lot of compliments on it...only negative is the weird seatclamp..and cheap chain...they come with cheap tires too so I upgraded to schwalbe marathon..I would definitely recommend getting one.....so ..I decided to put the bafang 48 v 750 watt kit on it...upgraded the brakes to shimano hydraulics...the bike is perfect for the bafang kit....ive got about 1000 kilometres on it now...so far no issues...good power and battery life...super quiet motor!...smooth too...the Aline IGH 8 speed works great with the motor...never had so much fun on a bike!

Nice creation and gotta love the Van Moofs. The looks of their own Electrified bike are great, but don't like the front hub motor which is why I'm thinking about creating a similar build as yours.
One question though: how did you fit the battery pack as the bike does not come with bottle holes? I assume this is not only the two tie wraps right?
