My BBS02 came set to 22amps max - is it worth it / safe to put this up to 25 amps or best to leave as it is?

Attaching an aquarium thermometer is not a good solution. An electrical thermocouple could be more interesting. But it must be attached to the sensitive points of the engine : the power MOSFETs in the controller. Do you know what the temperature limit should not be exceeded ?
IMO the thermometer option is absolutely not practical and we lack information to correctly interpret the measurements.Last edited by CroqueMr; 11-21-2022, 06:48 AM.

From past experience I find 10A is sufficient for most real-world continuous use, I seldom use any more continuously and I've got a BBSHD that will easily handle that... I've set the max to 30A but it's super rare I even use that for a peak transient - maybe just to zippity-doo-da across a busy street...
