    Downloading drivers for Windows 10

I am attempting to re program my BBSHD and have downloaded the program, but am unable to find the correct driver to work with WIndows 10. Can someone lead me in the correct direction?
    Thanks
    Jensen

Windows 10 does not need drivers. See here, https://electricbike.com/forum/forum...shd-mid-drives If it can't connect with Windows 10, it isn't because it needs drivers, it is because Windows assigned the wrong port. You can either change the port number in Windows Device Manager, or you can plug the cable into another USB port and hope Windows assigns a different port to it.

Hi Jas. Yours is not a helpful answer. He was looking for the drivers that are apparently missing from his windows instance (as am I). Mine shows up as unknown serial port. Not as a USB com port (that you can change them number) If anyone finds a kosher driver for the Luna Bafang programming cable, please post ? I think mine is using a MH (? Manhattan Lab ?) chipset.

The cable I got from Luna a year or so ago does require separate drivers that aren't in win10

It depends on the cable - they are not all the same and there are more than a couple of chipsets used and frankly only a couple (FTDI for one) have the drivers included in win10

chumanfoo, here's what I used with the luna cable I bought a couple of years ago - I don't know what they're shipping today so if it works for you, let us know

Thanks AZguy. In the last couple of days I found one that mostly works for my cable here: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials...-you-need-them. What I mean by "mostly works" is that it only works when I bend the connector on the bike side of the cable at a particular angle (blue lights come on only when I bend the cable). So it seems like there's a physical problem on the cable itself. Guess that's the next step, order another cable for more layers of fun. In the mean time the bike is down. I think it's because the config tool program tried to push a config down through the flaky cable and the controller on the bike only got bits and pieces of the config. Does that make sense?

        Cheers!
I managed get connected with these drivers. Win10 determined those automatically new COM3 port. I tried before other drivers, which I downloaded from other web site, but those didn't work.
Althougth I buy Crecent Elder bike in may 2017 with EGOING motor, I realized last winter that there is Bafang motor behind the logo :). The thing why I decided to get this computer connection, was that those swedish engineers has locked changes of settings using display. They have programmed GUI so that the opportunity of write password is disabled.
So I bought USB wire and managed get control with my PC now. I have changed poor factory settings better and suitable for me and it works ok. Thanks for fine advices and greetings from Finland (sorry about bad English)

There's a lot of power in being able to adjust the settings - have fun!

If you feel like soldering you can buy a display extension cable and make your own - I can send you a link for little USB-UART modules I've been using for several projects that have drivers integrated windows - I use quite a number of win build and never a challenge with them

ameridroid.com has win10 compatible usb-uart modules for development and debugging purposes on single board computers, but they might be useful for this with tinkering unless usb-uart modules are application specific.

Have you tried checking the manufacturer's website for the specific driver you need? That's usually the best place to start. If that doesn't work, you could also try searching on the windows 10 reddit key - there may be others who have had a similar issue and can offer some advice. And if all else fails, you could always reach out to customer support for the device and see if they can assist you in finding the right driver.
