    Throttle Settings question

We put a motor on our young sons bike and the throttle was too strong at the stock settings. Besides the obvious "designated assist level" - changing that from 9 to something much lower, is there another throttle setting we should adjust to mellow out the throttle? Thanks!!

What kind of motor is it?

I have the same question. I have a BBS02 with a C965 controller. The throttle seems really strong and I'm worried I'll break the chain. Is there a way to program it to be less sensitive?

Thanks, paxtana! For anyone else who sees this thread, here's what I did.

Connect the USB cable to Mac running Windows 10 using Parallels. Ensure USB cable is pointed to Parallels and not Mac.
          Launch the programmer app.
          Click Connect.
Click Read Flash (did this twice to be safe)
Select File > Save As. Save file as backup.
          Click Throttle tab.
          Set Mode to Current.
Set Start Current to 4 (was previously 10 on my bike).
          Click Write.
Select File > Save As. Save another backup.

Tested the throttle and it's way less jerky than it was before.

Start cuttent set to 1 is even gentler. Worth it, IMO.

            Current mode is critical.
