Ebike batteries, what is the point of ebike when you can’t get a battery

I got one from Eco Cycles. It actually arrived 2 days before they sent a shipping notice.

Just be warned the 21700 battery is great, but the bracket is a chore to install. I couldn't get a picture of it up yet. So the 1000 word version will have to do for now.

Basically the mounting holes are at each end of the battery with nothing in the middle, maybe one hole will line up, but not one that supports the weight of battery. Plan on installing some Rivnut bottle mounts in a difficult place on the bike.Or you can try their Triple BOB hose clamp rig. Cahnces of unbolting your old battery and bolting this on are just about 0. They might have some 18650 stuff that's more standard.
You can look at the bracket in the Hailong manual here. The front plate has to be all the way forward for installation. In one photo it has slipped back some.

I put a drawing up in the 18650 thread of the bracket that comes with the 21700 battery packs.

I wanted to ask the same question. I’m trying to but the Luna Balfang BBSHD to convert my fat bike. Would you recommend I try to buy one of their batteries? I’ve seen posts where people bought other batteries from other sites. Is there a good forum for discussing batteries for this drive?

I've purchased three 52 volt 17ah new style tray mount batteries from em3ev. I suspect the batteries were built on demand and shipped from em3ev's facility to me, via a U.S. handler.

I have an em3ev and no complaints. I got it used as part of a used kit. Rest of my packs are Luna Wolves. I modified my Em3ev to use the luna style magnet so I can use any pack on any bike. I tend to use the em3 on my street bike because it sees less violent vibration and is my largest capacity. The wolves I tend to use on my fat bike which is the one I take off road. I don't ride as long off road so the capacity isn't as big a deal and I think the fully potted design is the only way to go if you are going to be banging it around.

Luna used to resell other brands and styles of packs so you used to be able to buy something from them with every kit just maybe not a Wolf. I think it was late 20 or for sure 21 when all the supply issues really started to hit they decided to quit messing with the others and focus on increasing their in house production on the Wolf and Direwolf.

Yeah and I’ve not seen any for sale since then. None zilch nada. Like what if I wanted a spare battery for my Apollo? Much less, why can’t they build a better cased triangle battery for the galaxy frame.

I don’t really want to buy a 3rd party battery for Luna bikes.

It’s such a shame and this is a major problem in my book. I don’t want to rig anything. I want Luna to make a damn 21AH triangle cased batter for the galaxy. All frame sizes.

I would guess that they are gonna probably let the galaxy fall off the map.

So, I suffer with the 13.5AH wolf and can’t take long rides. Apollo battery is great, but can’t get a spare.
