    Hi folks....

I've got a Voodoo Bizango 29er. Bought it new on 2014 (in the UK) as i NEEDED to lose weight. A few months later and, 40 lbs lighter.....the bike had done its job. I'm no road racer, so wanted to do as much on trails/offroad as i could.

Earlier this year, I decided, being a "Petrol Head" (I mean, anything with an engine.motor head!), that I wanted to get an E MTB with pedal assist. JEEZ, these things are pricey and have no throttle etc unless you mess about. In the UK, they are all limited too (15 mph!) and then the motor cuts out. SO you have to "remap" them....etc etc etc. SO....started looking at converting the VooDoo. Bought the BBSHD motor, with 850C screen and remapped at source (Electron Bikes). It has a 52V Shark Battery Pack at 17.5 ah and peak power of 1700W!! I've had 40 mph out of it, when pedalling. I used a Bling Ring (well, Electrons own version...as good and a lot less money) with a 42T on it....and I'm glad I did, because the Bafang one would NOT clear the rear arm behind the BB.

Anyway....what I have found is that it's a decent enough bike, but the hardtail is getting a bit too much for some of the trails I ride, now the ground has hardened up and so I want to buy a good, used FS bike and move all my kit across. Look forward to recommendations. Don't want to spend a fortune and so, eBay (UK) and decent (older if required) brand is the plan. Will move my Hope bits etc. The rear hub actually caved in the other day and replacing is proving very difficult. It's unbranded and VooDoo support in the UK is crap.......glad I found this forum!!

Any thoughts on suspension seat post instead of getting rid of a Hard Tail?

Will add pictures of my Bizango in the "other" forum.

Suspension seatposts certainly are better than nothing. Not as good as actual FS though.

Looks decent!! What crank arms are those? I've been looking for a decent value Epic. Not easy...!!

I think I like the look of those. Expensive, but would you say they are worthwhile? Did you need any spacers on the BB?

Here's my 2009 Giant Trance Size Large (medium also fits, I have both) with 52V 17.5Ah Jumbo Shark UPP.

Here's another decent candidate. 2007 or so BMC Four-Stroke 03. BBSHD with Wolf 52v 12ah on magnet mount. After getting the suspension setup right I'm really happy with it. Have yet to take it on any single track but pulling the kid in the trailer is a breeze no matter the terrain on paved roads and trails.

Has anyone installed a BBSHD or BBS02 on a Gary Fisher Joshua bike? The bottom bracket shell is the easy part, the battery placement is problematic.

I have a specialized fsr & am looking to convert to a mid drive. The suspension configuration is different on mine, than most I see on here

It seems to look like I have room on the slope tube but I don’t think there is enough clearance between the shock stay?

Your best bet would probably be to just mount the battery on the underside of the down tube. If you look at the wolf battery it has steel rails that go along the sides so you can mount it upside down with something like steel cable ties.

Yeah it's hard to say for sure. I'd make a cardboard replica of the shark battery and see if it fits or not. Pretty sure they have a template on the site for it.

              Will a 52V 40-AMP 14AH SUPER-SHARK E-BIKE BATTERY from https://www.electrifybike.com/collec...e-bike-battery fit a 2015 Cannondale Trigger 27.5 4 Bike Medium frame size?
