      Using a frame alignment gauge. After brazing, one usually needs to bend both chain stays a few millimeters.

        The mitered slot on the (smaller) end of the chain stay where it meets the tab on the dropout.

        In order to create an overlap, the dropout tab slides in to the chain stay, and the this tube slides over the dropout.
