The PF41 adaptor wouldn’t work on my carbon Anthem unless a grinder was used through the BB, there is a lip inside that would stop the adapter sliding through. I got 2 bushes turned up on a lathe to make it work.
End result is good

New Build 2016 Giant Anthem - which bb spacer??

For the Giant Stance 2, which has an 89.5 mm bottom bracket, I ordered this one:
https://lunacycle.com/pf41-bb-adapte...mm-120mm-73mm/
However I wish I had not cut it to 89.5mm but kept it at the 100mm length. This is because if you cut it to anything less than 100mm and try to fit it to a 100mm bbshd, they'll be a huge space between the pf41mm and where the triangle screws into the BBSHD. Take a look at the picture.
I also would have ordered the triangle adapter that fits the pf 41mm as well here:
https://lunacycle.com/bbsxx-custom-l...ounting-plate/
I had to sand down the pf41mm a bit to get it to fit because the bottom bracket was 40.8mm instead of 41mm. I also had to shim the inside a bit with some brass shims to keep it from wiggling because there was a .5mm gap between the bbshd (33mm shaft) and the pf41 adapter(33.5 mm hole).
I ended up ordering three more bafang triangles to use as spaces because they have the grooves to prevent rotation, where as all the almuminum spaces I tried were slick as a whistle and did not stop rotation.1 Photo

I ended up with the empowered cycles spacers as lunacycle had nothing in stock and no idea when they would be in stock. I bought my kit from dilinger unfortunately they dont carry the 100mm bbshd only the 120mm one which they ship 2 10mm spacers.
They forgot to include the spacers so i am waiting for them before i can assemble the bike, the suspense is killing me

Hi Manic. I'm no expert but don't think you can fit the 68-73 kit, you will need a 100mm BBSHD kit due to the width of the bottom bracket assembly.

I presume the above is what i need, but i just wanted to confirm a. It will work and b. what thickness of the triangle spacer i need, there are 2 thicknesses. Does this only adjust the chainline? I will most likely be running a lekkie bling ring sprocket. I havent ordered the kit yet just confirming what I need

Hi, I'm looking at doing the same conversion on a 2012 Giant Anthem which looks to have a similar bottom bracket as yours. I already have the standard BBSHD 68-73mm kit.
How did you go with this? Can I use my existing 68-73mm kit?

Hi Gearbox
I've just recently completed this very same conversion. You're on a winner here. It's the best bike I've every ridden and think I'm in love. The two issues I encountered during the build were the bottom bracket spacers and the battery mount. Living out here in Australia I didn't have immediate access to the spacers so ended up turning up a couple myself. Mine looked like these ones. https://www.empoweredcycles.com/blog...-fit-41-89-5mm
Luna make this same conversion so I'd imagine they will also have an adapter that suits, but I can vouch for this design too.
The issue I encountered with the battery mount was overcome with an adapter plate and three 8mm spacers to effectively lift the battery up off the down tube and clear of the cables. Happy to provide details if needed.
All the best with the build.1 Photo
