    Chain ring for KHS 500

I have a BBSHD on a KHS 500 with a stock 46T (19mm) chain ring. I'd like to gear it down and also improve the chain line by moving it in. If I'm understanding the chart correctly my only choices are the 42T Lekkie at 20.4mm or the Eclipse 42T at 25mm. I'd like to get a smaller ring than these but I don't see any. They all, with the exception of these two, seem to have less offset. Am I misunderstanding? Thx.

If you need your chainring beyond the motor case to improve your chainline I don't think you can go any smaller than 42 tooth. Go for larger cassette gears to improve your gear reduction.

What I'm trying to say is that I need to move the chain ring closer to the bike for a better line.

The Luna Eclipse 42 tooth is about as good as it gets for getting the chainring closer to the bike. Don't know if there is a spacer made to fit it's sprocket and carrier to get more offset. Once you've gone that far over the tooth count isn't going to get any smaller.
