The two bases/batteries I mounted together bottom to bottom in parallel are to run an 800 watt power inverter I use for camping (in the beginning I actually ran a 2,500 watt inverter off this setup, which powered my 12,00 watt microwave, but after about 5 minutes of a test run boiling water, the inverter burned up and I returned it to Amazon).
The one open case is one of the two packs that had busted internal ground wires out of the box. This is a common problem with the 48v version, due to them trying to stuff too many cells in the case. I already repaired one of them, but haven't got around to this one yet.
Also, it was an issue of deception for me... Not price.
Regarding their manufacturing monopoly, this very well may not last too long, because as a result of their general, decades long birthing restrictions, and restrictions on female babies specifically, their female to male ratio at lower age groups is vastly lopsided in favor of men, and as such they're set to loose a HUUUUUGE percent of their population in the very near future, after the current generation begins to die off.
