I don't have any first hand experience with them but I do see a lot of them out on the trails so they must have had some good batches that made it out. $100 for a direct replacement controller doesn't seem out of line to me even if it cost them $20. If it didn't mount up correctly or have the correct connections on it then that is a different story but if its a direct replacement that actually seems like a pretty good deal. Maybe you can buy one for $20 but will it bolt in and does it have the correct connectors and will it require any programming? If so then go for it. If not then you have to decide if its worth your time to convert and modify it all to work. I just helped a guy replace one that cost $250 from the bike manufacturer and had to be modified to fit. To me it looked very similar to the $80 ones you see online but I don't know that much about controllers so I wasn't going to stick my neck out to tell him to get one of those and not have it work with his bike. IF its that common of an issue have any of the fourms found a better quality replacement or some sort of an upgrade?

Now the warranty only being 30 days... It would be nice if it was longer but if that is what it was when you bought it you knew knew that going in.

Shipping damage? Was the box visibly beat up when you got it? If so that should have been noted with the delivery driver when they delivered it. If you get things noted that way its much easier to file a claim later. If the box was fine then its much more difficult and all you can do is as soon as you discover it take pics to document the issue and hope they can help you out

    Don't buy LectricXP

Be aware, Lectric has an issue with their controllers, do a search if you want to see. Many people have had 2 or more fail inside of a year. I had one fail at 13 months with 105 miles on it. Lectric said "oh well, 30 days out of warranty". I rarely rode it because of a back injury and this is how they do me? They want $100 for what is probably $20 their cost. Company won't even back their own product when this is a known issue for them, not sure how I could trust a company like that. I should have know there would be issues. The bike came damaged, Lectric said" take it to a bike shop and have them fix it". Never offered to pay for the damage or even let me know that FedEx should have been involved, found that out later.
Working...
