I upgraded this with a soft plastic sleeve from a pen. This keeps the battery lift strap from being squeezed/ deformed by the rubber band Click image for larger version

Battery charging port debris cover... a quick fix

I just received my SR and on the first two rides the rubber charging port dust/debris cover came off. If anyone else has that happen, here is a quick fix. I used a blue rubber band that the grocery store wraps vegetables with... it's about 4" x 1/4". Simply attach the rubber band to the battery lift strap as shown. Next open the charging port cover and slip the other end of the rubber band over the charging port. Then close the dust cap and lift the rubber band up onto the top of the cap. It solved the problem for me. I went back and blackened the rubber band with a sharpie marker so its mostly unnoticeable now. It's best to do that beforehand.Click image for larger version
