Cutting the green/black wire for more power in Sport mode?

I saw in the reviews that a couple people said cutting the green/black wire increases Sport mode power. Before I cut my wires, can anyone confirm that?

It depends on the production run. Some bikes you cut that signal wire, others you join the wire, and a few you don't need to even mess with the wire.

Just cut mine... sport mode is same power, but no longer governed at 28-30 mph. Pulls strong till 47-49mph. Eco is same, smooth slow power and governed at 28mph

              I got mine yesterday:

I haven’t cut anything and it’s fast af, but I did notice the speedometer maxed out at 50kph uphill, but I’m gonna guess it’s because I didn’t snip anything yet

I received my SR in mid July and it already has the Sport/Eco switch on the bars, and seems to work correctly. Is it possible that cutting the wire on this "production run" will increase the Sport mode power even more?

Yes. Cutting the wire increases max speed... in sport mode. Maybe more power, but I doubt it... more likely same power to a faster max speed. I will do tests when I place a switch on the wire.

Two received in the 4th week of July were cut from factory upon arrival and reached max speed.

Two received in the 2nd week of Oct. we’re not cut from the factory upon arrival and did not reach max speed.

I cut mine but nothing but top speed still shows 26. Anybody know what I did wrong?

It may be a production run that needs the wire joined rather than cut, or maybe you cut the wrong wire.

Start by cutting back some of that black wrap that covers the wiring bundle, cut it back enough to confirm the one you did cut was an actual looped wire. If you go far back enough on that and find it was already cut, then it's a good indication you actually need to join it on your bike.

What if you cut the wrong green wire what does that do to the bike
