    Restricting a surron

    Hi ElecticBikeForum.

i've been looking at a EU45 surron for quite a while now.
my question is: is it possible to further restrict a 45Kmt version to 25kmt?
the reason for this is that i need a drivers license to ride a 45kmt version in my country. and unfortunately i lost it recently

i have this idea, to put a switch in between the signal cable. so that i can unrestrict the bike when i go outside the city.
please let me know your thoughts on this.
    best regards kgaard

Ive done exactly that, attached the cut wire to a switch. I use it to keep the bike under control for new riders. Its hidden under the battery cover.
its simple and does exactly what you would expect. Another might be a switch to cut signal to the brake sensors. Making the bike really tame and safe.

Thanks for your input. it answers part of my question.

as an answer to my other question about restricting the bike even further than the stock 45kmh.
i found this German company that makes a restricting device that you put between the motor and the controller.
