Battery lid stuck

Battery lid is stuck, will not unlock

Push down with a fair bit of weight over the latch area and turn the key to unlock. Might help

I've pushed, pulled, wiggled the lid while turning the key a hundred times, its not budging. I've sprayed w-d 40 in the lock and around the latch too. No help. I guess I will have to take it apart at the hinge if I can figure out how the pins come out. There's some info on a thread on how to do it that I read in the past. I just have to find it. Thanks

Warm (Heat!) the whole surface or specific areas with a blow dryer?
