Chi Battery

Well, I went on an epic 1st ride with the Chi battery. It was about 90% steep technical single track to the top of a mountain and back down the other side. Total mileage was 27.2 but my total elevation gain was a little over 6,000 feet. I had 40% left on the battery when I got back to my truck. I'm running the stock controller (for now) and there is a 58 tooth sprocket currently on the bike. Looks like my average offroad range will be around 45 miles using the stock controller.

Total mileage 27.2 miles.. 90% steep single track.
Did you notice how much battery you still had after the steep trip of 13.1 miles to the top of the mountain.?
Going 13.1 miles down-hill Just curious how much the regenerative mode put back into your battery.
PS; Just curious. The original stock SRX-LB battery. Did it fail or did you just want a 2nd battery??.

I watched the video... Obvious spec`s typing error. They look like the same size to me.
From $2,350.00. My Stock battery at 18 months seem OK. Maybe in 2 more years before I need a new or spare battery.

I've been on quite a few offroad rides now with the Chi battery. I'm averaging about 84 wh per mile so my range is between 40 and 45 miles. The battery was very expensive, but for me personally, it was worth it. I now ride trails with friends that ride ICE dirt bikes. Their rides are seldom over 35 miles. Also, I have the regen turned off. Much easier to ride standing up for me.

This probably goes to Dirtman's 4.2 comment above: FYI
very recently rode to mountain top approx 4000' elevation increase. Steep Uphill ride. Start with 100% charge on stock battery 5 months old.
57% used 16 miles uphill 50 degree day
15% used 16 miles downhill to truck, same route.
32 miles total
28% remaining
note: full regenerative mode setting

Chi battery versus Litespeed battery
Chi battery doesn’t use the Bms for discharge only charging side.Litespeed uses both discharge and charge with there Bms
Chi battery I have to charge at 1amp otherwise the battery goes out of balance( I set balance to start at 3.8 v).Litespeed balances on charge and discharge if you want.
Chi Smart app reads my % at 100 all the time and difficult to change settings.AntBms app works much better and seems to stay accurate
How are your guys battery doing,I do get good range but I do like the Litespeed bms&app compared to the Chi.

I've had my Chi battery for 6 months now. I only looked at the app once when I got it. Been riding about 3 times a week. It's been problem free so far. I just plug it in, ride it and do it over again. I never really think about the battery much. Power and range are still excellent. I use the Bac 4000 now and leave it on 11,000 watts.
