New owner, wondering if I can leave it and not have it overcharge. I did the first charge and even at 100% the charger fans were running. I unplugged it at that point because I wanted to test it out. So I’m just curious how it works.? Thanks

Does the charger shut off on it’s own?

The charger starts out charging at 10amps but as it nears the end it gradually tapers down to .02amp berfore shutting down at 67.3 volts.Out of balance batteries will take longer even if it says 100%,always let it finish so you don’t get your battery out of whack. This is with the stock charger.
One other important non charger related item:These batteries degrade if left fully charged for very long( more than 8hrs)Will reduce the life of the battery and duration you can ride.Last edited by Kauaiguy; 06-26-2021, 11:04 AM.

So say we ride all day Sunday and drain the battery to 18%, and we don't plan to ride it for a few days. Should I charge it to 60% Sunday, then the rest on the day I want to ride it a few days later or 100% Sunday and let it sit that way for a few days? What's the best practice to get the best life from it?

60-70 is a good storage charge so leave it around there, then charge it the rest of the way the morning of your ride
In post #5 you say ""one other important non charger related item""
I would say.. It`s a very important charger related item. (we all want our batteries to last as long as possible)
