head set clicking

Guys. does anyone have a picture of the headset disassembled? I had a very small click in my headset when grabbing the front brake hard. I tried to tighten it up and made it worse. I think i need to take it all down to elements and see if the plastic spacer is broken. Is this hard? Not sure why i'm worried.

any proceedural notes for me: Here is my plan:
-put the bike on a center stand
loosen top clamp and handlebars
loosen star nut
disassemble
remove fork tube from frame
check
reassemble

The Sur Ron headset is like a MTB one, here's an excellent video explaining how to adjust it:

worked perfectly. i did use a rubber mallet to tap down on the bars with all bolts loosened up. That worked. Thanks for the video.
