That would be entirely up to Eric to decide and/or publicise that decision if he chose to. Nobody else in the company has much in the way of info on unreleased products.

Hi paxtana, since you probably see & speak daily with Eric Luna before I get a chance to speak with him. Would you please ask Eric what his thoughts are about Luna Distributing & selling the Sur Ron Storm electric motorcycle? I AM ordering one when available and have it shipped to me. Right now I am on the list to order one from either China, England, or Italy if Eric or no one else is selling them in America.Tell Eric I hope he sells them because who ever is the USA Sur Ron Motorcycle distributor will certainly be the largest electric battery motorcycle company very quickly.1 Photo

Sign me up! I love my Sur Ron X, but am also buying a full size electric next year (I'm slowly selling off my ICE motorcycles and dirtbikes and replacing with electric). Was very sad when Alta went out of business as I was going to buy one. The KTM Freeride isn't available everywhere (and battery range is a bit short). I plan on buying a Zero FX next spring and just took a friends for a test ride that re-energized the excitement, but U.S. availability of the Sur Ron Storm will have me go that direction. We typically trail ride 30 to 60 miles in a day and my SurRon X will only do about 25 or 30 miles and that is taking it easy in eco mode. The X is fun for those shorter rides and singletrack rides, but want a full sized dirtbike with longer range for the majority of my rides and this will fit my needs. I'm in Montana and the closest Zero dealer is way down in Salt Lake City, UT, so there is no advantage with the Zero as far as local dealers. I do all the work on my bikes myself anyway, so mail ordering a SurRon Storm isn't much different.
Luna Cycles,
Please import the storm. I can put down a downpayment as soon as you have an approximate delivery date and price. I don't care what color it is (graphics are easy to change). Just get them here, please, in for next spring/summer of 2020. Thanks.Last edited by Chadx; 11-10-2019, 07:38 AM.

It has been 1 year ago when I first read this post.
I also like/love my Surron X but I would love to have a Full size Storm.
Hoping the New-Green-deal and more Electric Vehicles comes to the USA soon.

Ghost thread!
Since I missed my shot at a Light Bee XX, I'd been wondering the same. This electrek article says "There is no price info yet, but the US dealer has confirmed that the Storm Bee will be headed for the US."
I only know of one US Sur Ron dealer... Luna.

Quote from electrek.co ""If you thought 2019 was a good year for electric motorcycles (which it absolutely was), then 2020 is going to knock your riding boots off. And believe it or not, the excitement could be led by a rush of Chinese electric motorcycles heading for Western shores""
A Rush of Chinese Electric motorcycles heading for the Western Shores. (Maybe)
Sorry 2019 was not a good year. (ALTA dropped out).
Sorry 2020 other than the Surron nothing was happening in the USA.
Folks in Europe, Africa & Asia are way ahead of USA.
A KTM-internet friend in Germany loves his 165-pound Yamaha trial`s bike.
LOL..2021. Drain the Swamp. Start with the Fossil Fuel lobby.
Nothing personnel against the FFL, but Electric bikes are superior.
2 weeks ago China landed and returned a rocket from the moon within a week.
2 weeks from today will be 3 January 2021. Hoping the best for the Surron STORM.

A few folks bought their Surron direct from Surron. (Ali-Baba ??)
Surron Storm price. 1 year ago.. A link from this forum I think the price was $6,600.00.
262 pounds similar looks, and same weigh as the Alta.
Quote Moarpower ""but the US dealer has confirmed that the Storm Bee will be headed for the US."
--This is the first time I heard that statement.

Range or light weight; pick one. Can't have both...yet. So for now, I'll take the range. I ride a 300lb dual sport right now and bounce between it and by Surron X based on the range I need. I want a ktm freeride, but range isn't enough for the 50 mile family trail rides we do, even in KTM eco mode and keeping it slow. I can get 25 to 35 miles out of my Surron X if I keep it in eco depending on terrain and speed. Need an honest 50 or 60 miles of trail range. Would buy and ride a Zero FX, but they need a lot of mods to be trail ready (at a minimum, change pulleys and belt for chain and sprocket. Suspension is set up soft for street use, too). And Zero says swing arms are weak. They are working on an offroad bike according to the rep I spoke with early this year. The Zero partnership with Polaris will hopefully produce some electric atv, utv and snowmobiles as well. It's all coming.
If Surron can do this 7/8 size Surron Storm / Boom Bee, get the 60 miles of easy going trail range and keep the price below $7 or $8k, I'm in! Or if ktm freeride, which is also about a 7/8 size bike, can extend their range to 50 or 60 easy trail miles and still be below $11k, I'm in.Last edited by Chadx; 12-21-2020, 05:48 AM.

Most off road riders want lighter, not heavier.
Similar to the Storm. I almost bought an 262lbs Alta. EXC-DS. (Aug-2017) ($12,000++ Out the Door)
Went to see it at the shop. Being I was 68, I asked if I could test it.
Laid it on its side picked it up as EZ as my 250lbs Dual Sport bike.
Lifting it onto Stand. No problem. Test rides available at the local track.
Close friend and a MX A-rider. Test rode the Alta-MXC. Loved it, like riding a 125 again with 450 power & torque.
""It didn`t seem too heavy. The cog just felt lower""
2018.. ALTA >No longer available at this time.
The shop had 1 Alta EXC . Owner kept it for himself.
Agreed its a simple to ride as a 125, and for us senior riders it good for day of trail riding.
Last I talked to him none of the local Alta owners have sold. (yet)
