There’s an image in post # 4 on this thread that should help. I’ll be removing mine in the next few weeks, and I’ll try to take a photo or two!

15 min with tools on hand, something like:
Cut the small zip tie anchoring sensor wire to the lower frame cross member.
Loosen & remove the 2 bolts holding the front of the skid-plate (1 each side), then loosen the 2 bolts holding the rear of the skid plate, no need to remove the rear bolts.
Swing the front of skidplate down & backward exposing wire bundle plastic sheath with the sensor connector inside.
Dig & push the sensor connector from the plastic sheath & disconnect it, then draw the disconnected wire back toward the sensor. Tuck the wire bundle back into position.
Unscrew the sensor from the footpeg/kickstand mount. Swing the skidplate back up into position & reinstall the front & tighten the rear skidplate bolts.

My light bee. only 2 short rides so far. I don't need a kick stand for woods riding. Trees make good leaning posts.

Couldn't I just remove the kickstand and tie-rap or tape something to the sensor for now.

I intend to get the up-graded bash plate. When that happens I will then remove he wiring as posted above.

I removed the sensor from the bike. I cut the wire on the sensor side of connector and put tube shrink warp on wire. I then reconnected the connector, this should give it a waterproof connection.
