    BBS02 Grommets

Currently have down a teardown on the BBS02. A few questions.
    1. Where can I source the grommets for the phase wires and the rectangular control connector grommet that go into the motor housing?
    2. I tried to remove the nylon gear, but it appears in this motor that there is no snap ring to release. It looks like the bearing is pressed on and needs a gear puller to remove to remove the nylon gear. Click image for larger version

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

On the nylon gear issue, by chance did the bearing that usually stays in the gear cover stick to the gear shaft? Hopefully Bafang hasn't changed the cover design:

Maybe try gently prying the bearing up with a flat-blade screwdriver - though a puller would be better.

That's what I was going to say, looks like the bearing stayed on the pinion instead of coming off with the cover.

Bearing stuck to the shaft. Was able to lift it off with two flat bladed screw drivers on opposite side, with little effort. Any ideas about the grommets?

For the grommets, I'd just clean them up as best as you can and pulling and/or cutting off the excess silicone. I don't recall anybody ever listing a source for 'em.

For the round ones, the best description I could come up is, "Type B" (maybe even "Type A"). Beats me on the rectangular one.

Ncmired, Thank you, for checking about the grommets. looks like this is going to be a hard part to source. I can put additional heat shrink on the phase wires and silicon those into place. The rectangle one is a challenge. I can still use the existing ones. Pulling off the original white seal material results in the gaskets being torn.

Any ideas on replacement motor seal covers?

As opposed to stiff heat shrink tubing, maybe you could get some flexible clear plastic tubing from a hardware store and cut it radially, then slide it over the wires where it goes through the case.

Also, there have been opinions expressed here in the past that the silicone in this application is overkill.

I think I saw the 02 gaskets listed at California E bike.

If I have issues with any of mine I was going to try hot glue. Seems to stick good and be waterproof. If you do have to take it off just takes some heat. I have never had mine get hot enough that I think the motor heat would melt it.

Was able to source the phase wires grommets only here @ https://www.greenbikekit.com/bafang-...bber-seal.html

Still searching for the rectangle grommet.

You would think some of the bigger vendors would throw together a gasket/seal kit for these things. Its proabbly $2 worth of stuff but I would pay say $20 for one stop shopping that would get me a kit with all the gaskets, seals, and bushings.
